Achievement Hunting |OT| Every point counts

Mort · November 5, 2021, 4:17pm

At least the price of the upgrade is reasonable. €20 is ok.

This might make me replay the game though, I haven’t touched it since I played it to completion a long time ago. I own the SE but haven’t played it lol.

Chyld989 · November 6, 2021, 2:31am

I’m keeping my eye on you

MasterLeePhD · November 6, 2021, 4:43pm

Racing just isn’t my thing. I dabble in all the Horizon games but it never sticks for long. Gta on the other hand…

Chyld989 · November 6, 2021, 5:35pm

That’s fair. Mario Kart, Burnout, and Forza Horizon are really the only racing games I’ve ever been really excited about, the rest just don’t do it for me. I do love GTA too, but San Andreas is by far my least favorite of all the 3D games. I’ll still likely play it when I inevitably pick up the trilogy somewhere down the line, but I’m much more excited for the other two.

Zonky · November 6, 2021, 9:55pm

Same here, any other driving games usually bore with me quite quickly. Particularly sim focussed.

Plagueborne · November 6, 2021, 11:23pm

Encodya was a neat point and click adventure. Cool artstyle and world building. Great music too. Has the classic obtuse puzzles found in point and clicks lol. Playing with the controller is a bit funky when trying to interact with things. Achievement wise it is okay. Only one that could pose a problem is the speed run under 4 hours but I had like 20 mins to spare. Maybe the 10 secrets too, i found 2 to be pretty missable if not paying attention. I’m not sure about the price at $30 tho. Was given a code for it #ethics

Dodger · November 8, 2021, 5:02am

Fuck I only need like 3 or 4 dlc achievements to 100% Skyrim. Kind of want to do one final play through for AE to give the game a proper send off, but that’s a lot of time.

Crossed 40000gs this weekend. Probably won’t hit 50k til deep into next year, because I do silly stuff like want to replay Skyrim amd have the itch to start RDR2 all over again.

Every GamerScore earned from now until next Monday 06:20 AM (UTC) will count towards week 61’s ranking. Every GamerScore earned until December 1, 2021 06:20 AM (UTC) will also count towards Novembers ranking.

Don’t forget that this topic is first and foremost destined to talk about all your achievements and trophies, discuss completions and even try to gather people for a boosting session! The ranking is just a side activity to take part in.

Good luck everyone and happy hunting!

FairyEmpire · November 8, 2021, 1:05pm

Horizon 5 is addicting me plenty. Wonder if this will be my time to shine.

ShadowlessEdge · November 8, 2021, 10:19pm

8 achievements left for Forza Horizon 5, but not being able to stay connected online is killing me

CallMeCraig · November 8, 2021, 11:18pm

You have 3 weeks left in this month ;). The servers will be fine at some point (in the not so distant future i hope).

Mort · November 8, 2021, 11:21pm

Hehe, I’m just playing without worrying about achievements. GOTY

Plagueborne · November 9, 2021, 6:22am

Good game is good. I’m surprised I really enjoyed it. Pretty straightforward achievements too. Also it’s in Xbox Game Pass

Cyime · November 10, 2021, 1:18am

Hail to the king baby!

Chyld989 · November 11, 2021, 2:04pm

Started playing through the standalone Tiny Tina DLC and I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed Borderlands when it’s actually funny (I thought pretty much everything about 3 was inferior to all of the others).

Plagueborne · November 11, 2021, 7:38pm

I hope TA holds the line when it comes to mods on PC since MS is going to make it easier. I think that would be the final nail for high GS.

Chyld989 · November 12, 2021, 2:09pm

Their rule is in-game mods are fine, but editing anything outside of the game is not, and I’d imagine that’s gonna stay. On PC especially it’s just too easy to mod games to pop all of the achievements otherwise.

Plagueborne · November 12, 2021, 2:48pm

Good for MS Store users getting better access to files and all that jazz but worried that TA will break down if a lot of people complain

Cyime · November 12, 2021, 3:13pm

I was tempted by that since it was my favourite DLC from B2.

I’m guessing the game doesn’t have native series x support and it’s running in Xbox one x mode?

Chyld989 · November 12, 2021, 10:43pm

I really don’t think so. A lot of people were against the most recent change they made in regards to mods, but they still went through with it (with slight tweaks to the original plan, but still). I could be wrong, but I don’t see it happening that way.

I honestly don’t know. I only played it for an hour or so and was so tired that I was barely paying attention. I do enjoy that they give you two skill points each time you level up instead of one because it’s a standalone so you’re not going through with characters that are already level 30+.
