It’s not even the worst completion.

Valhalla is just tedious. Too many collectables with bad story pacing.

I ended up giving up on Valhalla for exactly those reasons. I keep telling myself that someday I may go back, but the reality is I’ll almost definitely never touch the game again. I got the full 100% on Origins and Odyssey though, so it’d be nice to complete Valhalla as well.

I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone to play this game while going for 100%. It’s massive and tedious. On top of that challenge and rogue lite achievement which I think are actually the best part of the game but hated by the community.

If the new AC similar to Valhalla or even bigger, I will skip this game.

I gave up my Valhalla completion when they added the mastery challenges and roguelike modes as DLC. Not things I wanted to do.

Mastery challenge and Rogue Lite are the best part of the game. I’m not even kidding. So much fun. The former can be hard but rewarding when you finally did it.

The latter is actually very easy. I will recommend getting the thunder hammer + the thunder chain skill. Buy them again when you are dead from the merchant before you start a run. And unlock slow mo evade as soon as possible.

I wouldn’t even consider it if I hadn’t already started. I’m currently at 910/2110 for that game, which means I’d have a long way to go, and likely won’t ever do it

I’m one of these insane people that try to get all achievements if it’s not tied to multiplayer. I think I have a 98% completion rate.

That is indeed insane and I don’t understand why you would do that your yourself I’m sitting at a 70% completion rate and I’m completely fine with it staying in that general area.

That’s something I wonder myself. It was pretty bad going for the crown achievements in MH World. This was truly painful.

I absolutely love this game. It’s definitely slower than I remember (at least at the beginning), but it’s so good by the end that I’m willing to forgive that. This is the first time I’ve gone through the DLC as well, and I absolutely wish I had done so earlier because they were both fantastic. My biggest complaint with the game is that every time I would turn left the camera would switch to being over Wake’s left shoulder instead of his right, which is something only psychopaths would want

I’m not typically a fan of visual novel games, and a decent chunk of this could qualify as that, but with the on-foot sections and flying around the ship using the star map, I actually didn’t mind it. Plus the story was outstanding and the art style is gorgeous. Didn’t quite finish this one before it left Game Pass so I had to pay the $20 to finish it, but I was happy to give money to the devs after having so much fun with the first 80% of it.

I’ve completed the Xbox one and the Series version.

If they didn’t change it you have to replay the whole game on PC. Most of the achievement unlock only if you trigger them yourself.

Basically play Xbox one version, save before your unlock the achievement, import your save to Series and do the requirement for it.

Didn’t take too long.

Really easy completion, but completing the songs on Hard takes some skill.

This is a really good game for Gunvolt fans, a rhythm game with the music from the series is a genius idea. Originally I had this game pre-ordered physically for Switch (they include all DLC with the Switch physical), but it’s not gonna ship for another month so I figured I’d dip my toes in a bit on Xbox. I’m really looking forward to continuing it on the Switch handheld screen because Xbox felt suboptimal with my set-up. Tons of input lag (deathblow for rhythm games, even with the in-game calibration tool. Playing directly on the handheld should solve that.) and I think the Xbox controller isn’t great for playing this game because it was quickly making my hands hurt.

When I adapted myself to the delay I did find myself getting in a trance. As someone who does listen to the Gunvolt soundtrack outside of the games it was nice to beat to a rhythm to them.

More things to unlock or something would be nice though. There’s like 3 or 4 songs to unlock and that’s about it. I’d have liked, I dunno, maybe earn some currency to dress the idols up differently, or customize a player card or something. There’s an Expert difficulty which seems insane, none of the achievements require that, so I’ll try and conquer it on Switch.

I’m pretty hit or miss with games like this, and this one was unfortunately a miss. Going through the easiest difficulty was fun, but any higher difficulty or the challenges just felt like I was banging my head against a wall. It was hard to make any progress, and even when I did a simple mistake could easily make me lose an hour or two of progress (people dying or leaving, resources tapped, etc). I put it down for a while in hopes that I’d get the drive to give it another shot, but it’s been 3 weeks and every time I look at it again I feel less likely to ever go back, so I’m just going to call it for this game

I really enjoy that this genre is becoming a bigger thing because they’re great games to play while my fiancee and I watch a movie together. Doesn’t require much concentration, doesn’t really matter if you lose a run, easy to play for short sessions (especially since Quick Resume work with it). This one isn’t my favorite of these games, but it added some cool ideas and was (mostly) fun to play.
