Makes you appreciate Halo ever so more to deliver best of both worlds. Solid review.

Battlefield 3 and 4 campaigns were pretty dumb too. And they were not always fun, so there’s improvement I guess.

I’ll play it. My friends won’t, they’ll go straight to MP and never look back.

Really enjoyed the campaign too — definitely the most cinematic Battlefield experience since BF4. The pacing and set pieces were great, though yeah, it did make me miss when Halo could balance both story and multiplayer so perfectly.

I totally get why some people are sticking with the campaign though. Jumping into multiplayer right now can feel rough if you don’t have much time — kids already has meta loadouts unlocked and better guns. I’ve barely scratched level 15 and still missing alot of the attachments for my favorite weapons.

Been thinking about using overboost just to get the weapon unlocks out of the way so I can properly enjoy the matches without spending hours grinding. Once the first few updates land and the balance settles, I think BF6’s multiplayer will really start to shine.

You can always go into Community servers loaded with bots. You get the same XP as in regular games, but it’s way faster.

Ive enjoyed the first few missions of this supposedly “mid” campaign than i did with Blops 6 last year (which i didnt even end up beating). I hope CoD goes back to being more grounded with its campaign after Blops 7, i dont want any more “zombie” missions or “bosses” with a minigun and a health bar. Its not like im against “weird” stuff or futuristic stuff, hell Infinite Warfare was the last campaign i really liked, like it felt like a more grounded Mass Effect (wish that one would come to gamepass). I just think CoD as a whole has become stale with crappy campaigns, stupid multiplayer skins and whatnot that it just needs a “reset” and a return to form like how BF6 is for the Battlefield franchise (for now anyways, we’ll see if Dice keep it up)

This is great fun online too. The best fun I’ve had online since Halo mutiplayer

Yeah, multiplayer is a triumph. Absolutely amazing with a lot of layers to peel off for the years to come, not even talking about Portal which its own thing and hopefully will bring good stuff.

Campaign was a chore to me though. Really basic and not enough bombastic. Not even on par with COD campaigns to be honest. Scenario was so dumb… There was almost no stakes at all in those missions, as you don’t know what you are fighting for and who your enemies are. BF 3 and 4 campaigns were at least more comprehensive in their approach. BF4 scenario was pretty wild in retrospect.
