I wonder if we’ll get a special dev direct (longer in length) for the 25th anniversary (it’ll be the first dev direct during an anniversary year after all and there’s already a lot of first party games announced for 2025)
Sounds terrible
If true, it would make sense for other games like Stellar Blade to take any funding by any mean necessary.
That’s a crazy turnaround. The Xbox Wire June Post (and their profile on Twitter) sounded super positive. Like for Xbox it was slated as an Xbox Play Anywhere title for 2026. If less than half a year later the studio is down to just two employees (and this having started in August) then it has to be a lot going on behind the scenes. The rumor says the CEO is trying to keep it going? So it’s surely not a Tango problem where the publisher just wants to replace everyone with generative AI…? Right? I don’t know. South Korea seems really into AI. But then again, yeah, it seems like people want this game. Like they posted about Tim Sweeney visiting and the number of wishlists on all platforms seems really good.
I do believe Phil Spencer referred to Halo, Forza, Gears and Fable for next year. But that was before some rumors appeared about Fable. We will find out soon enough.
RwanLink’s newest animation in UE5!
Do we think an official Xbox handheld is still comming or will it just be oem’s
I think Jez said it was still on the table, but they will be pushing the Xbox Ally as their own.
I believe Xbox will make two machines again, a console and a handheld. They will be premium systems, while OEMs fill in space at other prices.
Somehow, I think a handheld of some sort gives them the chance to launch a new consumer product that could be big.
I know people said it being shelved for the Xbox Ally was bad, but if we’re to assume that the handheld will be the sanm as the next Xbox (a hybrid console-PC with full backwards compatibility) then it makes a lot of sense. Push the Xbox Ally out as an early adopter product and learn from it and build the handheld ecosystem (like now there are games which have handheld compatability badges). Then they can launch their full next Gen lineup fully optimized in terms of hardware, games, and user experience/software. So yeah, I still feel like we’ll get a first party handheld device. That just makes sense to me alongside a premium home console box. The handheld might even sit priced closer to a more traditional console and be shipped with a dock. Regardless it’d work as a companion device and I think they’d want a first party one using those proprietary chips for backwards compatibility.
So far, the most accurate relations I have seen on X points it towards God of War.
Knowing Geoff, it makes the most sense.
So God of War!
Yeah, that seems most likely.
Yeah I don’t think it is Elder Scrolls VI! I think we see it at the Xbox Showcase in June to celebrate 25 years of Xbox!
That’s optimistic, especially after what Todd recently said. ![]()
It’s neat for Ready or Not still make commercial after so long and during NFL no less. Someone got real money over there.
Knowing how Geoff will do anything for money or attention, its probably for some mobile game at TGAs.
That would be the downer that would surely top the year.
