So New York IS near Metropolis!

It appears Xbox Spring Sale is starting pretty soon and the sneak peak is happening now.

I always imagined Metropolis was Washington DC and Gotham was New York City

Like just replacements for them? Cuz D.C. and NYC do exist in DC. They’re just not used so often (well Washington D.C. Is wherever they wanna involve the president and Whitehouse).

Spiritual replacements I get. Idk. I’ve seen you tubers try to map out all the cities, but I swear they’re just one big blob on a map. As a kid I assumed Metropolis was Silicon Valley with all the tech. Like a stand in for it so vaguely west of Kansas. I guess I have egg on my face.

I think Gotham is located in New Jersey and Metropolis in New York, they are often depicted as being pretty close to each other.

So in New York in DC, the 3 big cities would be Metropolis, Buffalo(NY capital) and New York City.

Facts! Really enjoyed watching this.

Wuthering Waves comes to Xbox, The Expanse and holy shit it’s Game Pass day one and a closed beta next month, Stranger than Heaven looks awesome and is Game Pass? Jesus, and a deep dive in May. Wonder…maybe a release this year or 2027? It said coming soon, but soon can be anything.

Dispatch! Am I glad I didn’t watch a playthrough of that.

Absolutely love the multiple cities and different eras. That’s vastly different from Yakuza. And yeah it being GP now is just crazy, who expected this? Nobody.

Expanse and Dispatch are Game Pass, seriously? Wow. Those were two definite purchases for me. GP Ultimate starting to feel worth the price again!

ETA: Hold on, it doesn’t look like Dispatch is on Game Pass, only Expanse?

The Expanse and Stranger Than Heaven are the surprises for me due to both being on Game Pass Ultimate day one. Did not expect that to happen for either of them. Not really into games like Dispatch and would have liked it to be on Game Pass Ultimate so I could try it out. Good overall Partner Preview. Majority wasn’t for me but the few games that were are all day one on Game Pass Ultimate so im happy!! :joy:

So glad they went with realtime combat. I mean for mainline Yakuza they went turn based ever since LaD and they could have easily decided to stick with that for all their games, but I really appreciate that for spin offs and this brand new game they stick to realtime. This looks so good.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is a workhorse!

Dispatch doesn’t mention Game Pass.

Still, that was a great show for Game Pass.

Hades 2, Replaced on Game Pass next month is killer!

Thanks, I was confused by the wording on an earlier post. Still great about Expanse though! I was about to go preorder!

Agreed because while I will play a turn based game every other year or so, I easily prefer real time combat so yeah, im very pleased that Stranger Than Heaven features real time combat.

Yeah I was wrong about that, my bad! still an awesome show for Game Pass.

Sounds like it was a pretty good Partner Preview? Still have a bit to go before I can see it though.

I am honestly so glad RGG managed to pull that off and fans embraced it. It creates a really good mix for their games where it never gets boring or too much of the same thing. Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth were super fun new styles of playing Yakuza/LAD games, but then we still got some of the best combat EVER in Judgment, Lost Judgment, and the Man Who Erased his name. The turn based gives them a new gameplay style to explore and continue to evolve, and they still got their action games to perfect on the combat that’s been there since the start.
