Crimson Dessert is insane. That is all.
Well that sucksā¦
I feel like a game like Khanzan is hard to sell. From everything I saw of it it looked awesome, but also brutal. The art direction looked fantastic and so did the late game gameplay. But at the end of the day a game like that is going to either be hit or miss due to the difficulty. If youāre not from software itās a lot harder to ask people to commit and pick up such a brutal game.
Iād love to see more Wolverine
Heās saying itās 3rd party Sop, but thereās suppose to be another show after.
If itās 3rd party then I am interested, the annoying part is how many of those games Sony will moneyhat of course. Their 1st party focused shows havenāt been any interesting to me since the start of this gen so yeahā¦
Actually I guess thatās better since thereād be more chance of games I can play on Xbox
Microsoft has been letting us know which games are coming to Xbox after every show already. So we will at least not have to wonder long.
With any luck we will all get something out of it.
If itās not a standalone show as in showcase one game, then I can see them saving Wolverine for the usual SoP time slot, which is late May/early June.
It seems like Marathon is not cheap. Paul Tassi reporting it cost more than 200 million $.
I really thought the textureless artstyle was for reducing cost, but now Iām wondering. It doesnāt feel like the game is that big of a deal and itās the only game that Bungie managed to release since the acquisition.
I love the game but it doesnāt scream AAA budget to me.
I wonder if Sony earning will make a mention on the game. Right now, the population seems to dwindle a lot. If based only on Steam, itās getting around 25,000 this week, likely to drop more next week. Remember, it was said PC is carrying them.
I wonder if that includes any marketing.
That dude is on another level. Canāt wait to play this game!
Louder for the people in the back. Those f2p and MMO games are such massive sinks on my storage space. I can only have like one downloaded at a time. If I actually installed Genshin Iād have to delete several installed games. Do DC Universe Online next please. Also for the love of God do Overwatch. I play stadium competitive mostly, so I wouldnāt use it on the cloud. But for quick play cloud gaming would be great.
It could be another case were there were some problems during production that led to pivots or costly decisions without that resulting in a higher quality final product. Thatās been a problem in general in the industry. Especially as developers more often donāt control scopes and have a clear idea of the game beforehand. Heck, I wonder if that includes all the costs of the artist controversies.
Yep scope creep / uncontrolled requirements are why experienced and knowledgeable project / program managers / producers and technical leads / liaisons are so valuable - and no doubt why we often see studio heads and producers poached or so in demand.
Sony had a producer (Connie Booth) who from reputation seemed very good at making their studios get games built, well scoped and delivered with ruthless effeciency - I have noticed since she left (confirmed in 2023 but may have gone earlier or at least been sidelined) theyāve had major issues in those areas.
Keeping things tight, on track and all the various work streams in alignment and bouncing off each other collaboratively is such a huge skill that is very underrated - and one that can save so much time and money
