Well, Starfield is broken for me. I ran into an issue saving the game that corrupted a file, by freezing it mid save twice, now I can’t load into the main menu after pressing menu as the whole thing freezes.
Already tried installing and reinstalling, and going offline to make sure a network issue wasn’t the cause. Well it was nice while it lasted, I guess I will be back next update to see if that fixes the issue.
Edit: there maybe an issue with Bethesda’s servers since ESO pushed out a message telling me my auto save ran into an error. Here’s hoping that’s the issue and I can just jump back into Starfield, but than again it could be an issue on my end.
Edit 2: Never mind the problem was on my end and it fixed itself. Now I just have to download my mods.
It’s gone down a lot within the fighting community from what I can see. It doesn’t get a ton of attention at stuff like Evo anymore. And oh boy the comments there.
Its a massively popular franchise and name, but I wonder how many people are like me and just hop in for like five seconds to watch some fatalities in the training and then never play again. The game is also currently on Game Pass AND it’s on sale so the definitive edition with all dlc is like $20 and the base game is $10 and there’s an additional promotion (on Xbox at least) to get a gift card for buying it. If the player count wasn’t high with all of that and the movie, then MK would probably be on the chopping block.
I agree. I’m just also saying vice versa. MK1 is like one of, if not THE, best selling fight game, but it’s also gotten a lot of slack from the fighting game community. I’m assuming that’s the only reason social media posts about the milestone was made. Otherwise it’s kinda weird to say, “This massively popular game that sold a ton last year and is currently super cheap on sale and on subscription services, is doing well during the new movie release.” It’s like someone saying, “Hey look, COD is still popular.” People usually only do that if something is popular but also has gotten to become a lot less relevant to certain groups. Like COD for example. People constantly say it “fell off” and was only good XYZ years ago, so when something like Black Ops 6 comes along and pops off people who thing otherwise shout it loud and proud.
That’s good to hear man. Because I had this with Skyrim when it got enhanced, it would become a slideshow on main menu and then just freeze. It took way too long to get fixed but it sounds like you had a different cause.
It was a mix of corrupt save due to the game freezing mid saves and some connection issue on my end. The fix was to reinstall Starfield and restart my console.
Afterwards Bethesda’s servers detected that I was missing mods when loading the game and ask if I wanted to inatall them. Once they got installed I was able to continue where I left off.

Playing the GOTY 2026 (FH6) this weekend, and I’m completely flabbergasted as to why MS hasn’t released a themed Series S bundle with the game packed in. This would be selling gangbusters right now!
