Well it is a meme that every time Horizon Zero Dawn or Horizon Forbidden West releases then it immediately gets over shadowed by a vastly superior game. It’s an unlucky franchise as far as timing is concerned. Or just PlayStation hubris that underestimated Zelda and Elden Ring.

yep they wouldn’t have bothered asking DF to hold off if the patch wasn’t going to affect performance, however i’m not expecting a huge improvement.
Because getting clowned by DF would hurt pre-order numbers? I don’t think the day one patch will be some magic solution that will lock the game at 60 fps, but I would be happy if they prove me wrong.

On the bright side, if I die a lot and get incredibly frustrated, I’ll quick resume out and play multiplayer or something to kill easy like Doom to fuel out all anger. Then I’ll hop back in and try again.

Heard patch already released and people is already working on new FPS comparisons with it, i guess it’ll run 55ish on Xbox and 60 on Playstation

So everyone reviewed this without a patch? Guess someone had more polish compare to PS first party, who mind you told me that they’re bug/glitch free.

Running at around 10 less FPS in average than PS5 one, without the patch tho, we’ll see later.
Seems to be happening normally lately, not with that huge differences but most games running with few less FPS on Xbox version, even Matrix which was developed with The Coalition’s help

I don’t expect miracles for day one patch tbh. Why is this happening? A matter of…PS is lead platform, not worth the hassle to max the framerete at least on par? Goddamn.
