Epic Games v. Apple Court Case - Law & Order Special Episode

Seems like the Judge is also learning quick, they have been asking questions about data gathering and how so much of the user’s info was available. Let’s hope he has a “WAIT A MINUTE! YOU CAN DO WHAT WITH MY PHONE APPLE AND GOOGLE!?” :P.

Not getting my hopes up though :P.

WOW, that should be illegal. 1 for each side! Also to protect people that get sued by these mega companies and can’t afford an army of lawyers. 42… jeez.

These would be for prep.

And companies like Apple routinely fight against govts and other mega corps like Facebook, so this is par for the course.

Yeah I know, but they also do this against individuals. And there is were I start to feel bad about this.

They are really defending themselves with legal quibbles and using the judges ignorance about gaming/tech, lmao. I really don’t understand why the legal system cannot be updated with times, it should be of paramount importance in a civil world.

Every time Apple seems to open their mouth - they make comedy history.

So the lawsuit was brought by Epic, Apple has make it about Microsoft. If i was the judge I’d tell Apple’s lawyers their defense is weak. What does their opinion about Microsoft’s wanting Apple’s phones have to do with Epics lawsuit, nothing, and throw the book at them.

Two trillion dollar companies in the same court, Epic will not matter. It is almost like Apple telling Epic they dont matter.

The only issue is Apple does not realize or is being naive, that Xbox+Luna+Nvidia actually have a strong case if they decide to file a suit.

My bet: Microsoft as a technology provider for cloud games (i.e. Control running on xcloud servers, instead of their current provider).

Also, providing Xbox Live network as an infra service is possible here.

I get the arguments for infrastructure services as the topic, except that if that were the case, I couldn’t see the Game Pass content team being involved in the discussions. Reading (literally) between the lines… It really looks like either some Nintendo games possibly coming to Game Pass, or some game pass content going to a Nintendo device. Or both. Honestly, sharing both ways seems quite likely and also would answer the frequent “what does this do for the poor people who already have the most performance focused console and can’t see how adding more people and places to play which means more large games being added makes it better for everyone” complaints
