That part is likely staying at 1440p on the PS5. In fact they should probably lower the res to 1080p at that part.
The gpu gap in this game seems to be 18% based on the fps gap at that part, assuming both consoles are at 1440p due to DRS.

One can use 120Hz option of series X while playing the game at 60 FPS. Hence, reduced latency can achieved. Greatđ

I donât understand these unstable framerates when a game has DRS. This should stay very close to the target framerate, what else is the point?
Well if the fps issue is not caused by a GPU bottleneck, i.e. the streaming hitches on the X, you cant do anything about that graphics code wise.
As for the perf on the S, the lower bound of 1120p is way too high. 720-900p would have been a perfect lower bound like it is in AC Valhalla and Hivebusters, and then reconstructed to 1440p.
I would thought the content streaming runs asychronously and shouldnât impact the rendering loop.
I mean we saw a similar issue in Control and that was patched.
My guess is that devs uses the CPU to decompress on the X via a common lib instead of using the XVA silicon. They later patch it to use the hardware decompressor and thatâs where the issues cleared up in Control.
Not pixel related, but its a good thing to see game sizes shrinking now that current-gen systems have better compression support and fast NVMEs. Install sizes are around 50%, 45GB/40GB down to 20GB/22GB.

Yeah, reloading a save after beeing discovered in Dishonored is basically instant. Smooth and fast, very nice upgrade
