Yep, Halo array wiped away Precursors, the Endless are immune to it.
Xalanyn
More like the Forerunners butchered the Precursors out of the galaxy before the flood became a thing.
Yes and no, the Flood are a corrupted form of the Precursors. The Halo array not only wiped them, but also their particular technology.
I think people shouldnât get too hung up on what Cortana believed regarding the Endless ie them being âworse than the Floodâ.
Also Grand Edict in the legendary ending kind of signals that locking up the Xalanyn has less to do with the species danger and more to do with Forerunners wanting to maintain their power and their âtruthâ. Basically,
You canât sell salvation if there are certain people who donât need it.
Ah I understand, but wasnât offensive bias specifically constructed to keep the corruptible parts out? And if the Endless are Precursor would they see the Flood as an enemy or the Flood them in return since the Flood is just a kind of revenge to the Forerunners? So if the Endless reclaim the mantle would the Flood still have a reason to exist? Is in this world the ultimate goal of the Flood to bring back the precursors or their descendents to power or are they now a separate faction? Also Mendicant should still be somewhere and a part of him on Zeta so what role will he play?
So many questions, Iâm just really excited for the future of Halo.
Watch this video and tell me the theory of the Endless being Precursor is unreasonable.
only started watching lol, will get back to you after this!
I think Forerunners locked them away for two purposes: keeping their long term control of the galaxy, even after their death (they chose humanity to inherit the Mantle) and to prevent the Flood to survive outside the containment Halo facilities.
I really donât think the Endless ever had such ambitions of wanting the mantle tbh. Infinite paints them as an innocent species imprisoned by Forerunners to protect themselves and their interests, but their supposed power and danger is still to be demonstrated, and 343âs writers gotta make sure they handle it right.
I think Floodâs goals are very Lovecraftian in a way. Freedom and salvation found in biological decay. lol of course thatâs an oversimplification, but itâs the essence of what Primordial convinced Mendicant of.
yeah this the other side I was thinking of.
They must handle them right, the risk of retcon here is huge, by the way Offensive Bias has all the answers, MC needs to find him.
donât worry, the Xalanyn can possibly manipulate time and fix whatever messes up. ![]()
But if they are Precursor they technically are the rightfull holders of the mantle, also the Harbinger has literally the reclaimer symbol on her head. Believe me watch HiddenXperiaâs video it summarizes everything perfectly.
hmm imma watch and get back to you. Xalanyn secretly being precursor (or a version of them) has both its benefits and pitfalls narratively.
Also I mentioned above how the Mantle might as well be abolished tbh. Itâs like Westeros arguing and fighting for who should have the Iron Throne, whereas you donât necessarily need the Iron Throne to create a healthy, fair society to begin with.
ahhh now I am convinced we are dealing with precourser
The Precursors are long gone by the time the Forerunners-Flood war is happening so I doubt it. Why would the Forerunners imprison a whole species that they specifically choosed to eliminate due to the concept of the mantle?
Its a new species that probably minded its own business undisturbed until the Forerunners came.
watch the video of Hidden
Being a precursor is absolutely lame so I hope they dont go down that route. Barely know enough about the forerunners besides being cunts so we are gonna go and add a species a tier above them that could create life and move between galaxies lol?
everything points to that also interesting the gameplay trailer from last year contained a scene not pressend in the cuurent game
