Then that’s definitely a bug, there are 45 cores on the map and all of them are needed to upgrade all abilities.

I disagree, knowing where the game forces you to the end is not a spoiler of anything meaningful, on the contrary might help people to avoid that, anyway I deleted to avoid complaints.

I just double checked, I have all the upgrades and 13 extra cores. Weird.
After finishing the campaign and being addicted to the MP since it launched, I feel like Infinite is 343i’s best Halo entry and it isn’t really close.
Some story beats are pretty “meh” and the pacing starts to wain a bit towards the end, but the game as a whole has so much heart that I can overlook the warts.
Very solid 9/10 for me.

Ive seen some suggestions that the extra cores may be a bug where it doesnt actually use the listed number of cores to upgrade components. Cant say for sure, I didnt really pay attention when I was unlocking things

I did notice it happening to me last night actually. It upgrades the equipment twice while only using the cores to upgrade a single tier. Definitely a convenient bug.

Just finished it there. Bit gutted. It’s way up there for me among the best games released ever, I loved it.

The cores are bugged, sometimes when you spend them it costs less than it’s supposed to. Supposed to be no extras but for all of us it’s more BOTW style with plenty of extras
Yeah, I ended up with 3 extra with others mentioning having 15 extra.
I finished it today, it was incredible. 9 out of 10, only reason it gets a point off is cause that training, advance training room was such a headache and filled me with so much anxiety.
I played the game on heroic and it was very difficult but extremely rewarding. I felt like the hero after completing the game, totally rewarding game.
Favorite scene was that emotion scene between Chief and Echo 216, awesome dynamic they had. I was worried echo would be annoying but honestly he wasn’t.

Finally finished my first (Heroic) playthrough.
Easily 343i’s best Halo campaign yet and among the top 3 (with Halo 3 and Halo 2) in the whole series for me IMO.
I also liked the ending and thought it set up well for the future of the franchise.
Can’t wait to do a Legendary playthrough soon - need to collect the remaining Skulls

This game is so much fun. Currently taking my time on the campaign and it is a blast. Hope we get some huge SP campaign additions next year.
