Halo mcc going multiplat or not

in xboxera episode from jon’s rumor is it reall the case that halo mcc isn’t going multiplat that was rumored by nate the hate if it means it just going to be halo ce remake with unreal 5 that will go multiplat i mean what is the case of the franchise moving forward going multiplat and such?

I think they were just speculating, as MCC can’t be monitized because of the pushback from the Halo fandom.

So, there thought process was that Halo Infinte could be since it’s already monitized and the game is getting current updates.

As for the franchise going multiplat, Gears of War already did, so Halo is a given. We just don’t know when, or if they will only do the CE remake and future games.

hmm so halo mcc isn’t monitized but infinite is and gears i’m aware and same goes for forza but the mcc not monitized the whole time really is that the reason why it’s speculated not going multiplat?

That seems to be what the thought process is, because Microsoft expects each studio to run itself as their own business.

My guess would be it makes sense for Halo Infinite to go over first, because of free to play MP with monitization that anyone can try and a single player mode that they can sell.

well if that be the case then we’ll see which halo game gets a port.

Or they could just copy Gears and re-release each individual game in the Halo MCC collection as a new game. Make sales off of all those games and prep PS gamers for the next major mainline Halo multiplayer experience (be it a sequel or remake or something else).

The problem with porting Halo Infinite over is that support for that game internally is very small. HALO Studios isn’t even using that same engine anymore. Porting it would be an expense and the influx of gamers would give Halo Infinite new life, but it really feels like they want to move on from that game (development wise).

All I can say is last I heard, there were no plans to bring MCC elsewhere. That was ~3 or 4 months ago. Whether that’s changed, I have no idea.

Would probably sell well, but I do wonder how much work it would take to port over stuff to PS4/5 as well as maybe Switch 2 considering that engine will not be used in future iterations anyway and would probably be a pain in the rear end to port to consoles they haven’t really worked with.

Starting fresh with UE5 is probably what makes the most sense, even though having the people on those consoles getting hands on and better understanding or the whole story arcs would have been nice if they are to get future titles.

So u r saying that there is a chance MCC does get a port to all devices despite the rumor u heard Jon?

He is saying he has no idea. There’s a chance in that everything (theoretically) has a chance. But there’s no clear indication of that happening.

hmm if not this year rumored by nate the hate so could it be next year probably or something or what notch?

The current iteration of Halo: MCC does not make sense to port anywhere because it does not have monetization capabilities.

what kind of monetization capabilities we’re talking about?

Anything to bring in additional money.

In most typical games, that means battle-passes and cosmetics.

For a game like Forza, they can sell additional mini-packs for licensed cars, like handful of Honda or BMW etc. They can also produce a couple to a few larger DLCs that includes larger themes add-ons, such as the Hot Wheels World.

For a game like Minecraft they can sell additional cosmetics. They can also sell dedicated personal servers – Minecraft Realms.

is that even the case for halo mcc or any other halo game not going multiplat i mean is every game on switch have that sort of monetization like halo’s monetization similarities and such?

343 wanted to add an option to buy spartan points, without replacing current ways to get them in game.

really when it comes to issue like that and such the reason why halo ports are unlikley
