March 26: ID@Xbox Event Announced

Yeah, this feels like somebody thought it was time to reveal it or that they had the go ahead, before seeing that it is a bit too early.

Really sold by “Aeon Must Die” trailer, the game looks unique and ambitious, don’t know if it’s canceled or not? Hope Xbox do something and re-announce the game for Xbox platforms on their Indie events <3

Neat art style.

Absolutely agree.

At this point of time classifying Hades in an indie showcase is not correct.

Hades needs a launch event on its own. It is that good.

Oh man I think I would drop if Hades gets a Game Pass announcement!

I’d like new gameplay of The Gunk, to see what it’s all about. The Ascent with release date, wonder what we’ll get on STALKER 2 too. And Tunic, man, where are you? Can’t forget about 12 Minutes.

This is labelled as INDIE.

This is labeled as an indie showcase and they couldn’t have been more precise with messaging here. I’m seeing very grounded expectations, so that worked well I think.

Same for the Age of Empires event by the way, which also got communicated very well.

Steamworld Dig 1 & 2 are so good that it has me excited for The Gunk. Is it a gamepass game?

Do you think they will do a “What’s next for gaming” event as was rumoured by Paul Thurott, or was it actually the indie showcase ?

I could be thinking of something else, but isn’t this the one where the artists or devs got screwed by a company and it’s releasing against their will or they’re not being remunerated or something? Sorry for being so vague, it’s been a while.

Yes this is the team & the publisher is Focus Interactive but the later didn’t address the full issue and still we don’t know what happen to the game or the team.

Gotcha, thanks for following up. I’ll reserve judgment until we know more to be safe!

That is a different event focusing on platform roadmap. There was also mixed information about indies being a part of that show. Turns out the indie showcase is a larger entity, and “whats next for gaming” is yet to be announced.

yeah, I was just wondering if maybe Paul Thurott thought the original March 23th show he talked about was about the roadmap, while it was in fact the indie show, or if it is still coming.

I wonder if the even slated for the 23rd was even intended to be public. For all we know it might’ve happened and nobody heard about it. Would be weird though given the theme of it. There is Game Stack Live running from April 20-21 which has a lot of good stuff though.

There were some updates for the PC GamePass App released yesterday for internal only use. I’m pretty sure the 23rd stuff was not for the public.
