It seems to be back to more linear levels, at least in that preview demo. I hope there’s still some side content and more open zones. I liked the exploration mixed with linear levels in Exodus.
I love all the games in the series, glad it’s going back to more linear levels, which for me add to the tension and make the game more atmospheric
Those graphics look insane; I guess I’ll have to wait for Project Helix next year to have those levels on a console LOL
Even though I was playing it via GeForce now, it looked fantastic. Can’t wait to review it natively
It looks utterly incredible, like you need a monster PC to run it. So, I hope for a Helix version ![]()
Game will most likely be well optimised, especially on consoles. I played Exodus on Xbox One X, had a great time with it, but then they dropped that next-gen version and it was the first game to have ray tracing at 60 FPS on consoles iirc. I hope the game has better aiming on a controller though, because Exodus is still a bit rough.
Exodus was the first game on current gen with RTGI AND at 60fps too. If there is one sure thing about 4A Games is that their games are always very well optimized on Xbox (the vanilla version of Exodus was very good even on the base Xbox One) so I am pretty confident that 2039 will look and run great on the Series consoles. ![]()
STALKER 2 AND then Metro is overkill. These two series are special to me. I can’t wait to get back to that Metro atmosphere (although bittersweet with what’s happening to ukrainians). And yeah, I’m glad they are keeping that 4A engine and refining it, because it is incredible what they are able to achieve with it.
