Another extension

Can people just do their jobs in timely manners like literally every other occupation on Earth (other than road construction crews :joy:)

Sony calling an extension is like a coach in NBA game calling it due to momentum. Really trying to delay the inevitable.

They need to prepare a convincing testimony; their previous arguments of “Microsoft and ABK would have a 10% marketshare in video games industry, or 30% in the high performance console market; such market power is too dangerous; COD, a $2B dollar series in a $200B industry is just way too important” Probably wouldn’t fly in any serious court (and it looks like FTC’s administrative court is a bit less farcical than the commission itself)

This’ll will all be moot anyway if the EC and CMA preliminary reports indicate they’ll let the deal go through with some concessions. If that happens everything else will fall like dominos. Sony will be in the same position as the FTC, it’ll be in their best interest to accept the acquisition is going through and make the best deal they can with Microsoft. At which point Sony will potentially be out of this suit anyway (I mean if they accept a deal from Microsoft they’ve effectively be considered to have withdrawn their concerns/approved the deal).

Yeah its pretty much a done deal at this point, Sony knows they lost so they want to avoid discovery

Now is the time for them to try to hammer out a deal with MS and get as much as possible before MS forces Sony to spill the beans on their internals

Jim Ryan working over time with the FUD. History has shown that MS does not do these petty things, just take a look at Minecraft for an example. It even runs better on Playstation console lol

The hypocrisy from Sony knows no bounds. They scare they won’t have parity? yet are the ones paying for market lead and timed exclusive modes and dlc from COD.
