Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard Discussion Thread |OT3| - Sony bends the knee!

This paragraph here should be all the appellate judge needs to read. That there should be enough to have this nonsense thrown out.

For sure, and I’d love to see it on Xbox, especially with M&K support. With how expensive PC gaming has gotten and the current state of my rig that or GeForce Now support is the only way I’ll be playing it.

I just got a bit of a kick out of “exclusive” in the context of it being something the broader public, ie not RTS super-nerds who are primarily console gamers like me, might care about.

After reading Microsoft’s response, the only thing I could think of was this:

I have just been reading this and it’s brutal, almost mocking how bad the FTC’s case is! I like how much emphasis they put on how FTC are essentially playing a delay game.

One interesting thing is that the parties were notified on the 10th. Most people were saying that they would not know the ruling before it was published on the docket. Not that it matters much though

It does back up on their claim that FTC is purposely doing this not to try to win but to delay alas manipulating the system. Kind of like bending knee in NFL when you’re in the lead at the last minute.

Khan is beginning to remind me of Light of Death Note towards the finale. If you know, you know.

This emergency relief is NOT happening for exactly the reason MS said. The FTC was notified of this a year and a half ago, filed a complaint 8 months ago, filed for a PI last month and are filing for relief literally 4 days before the dead line

Emergency my ass

Quick housekeeping: I believe in accountability, especially self-accountability. Earlier, I responded to a post about @Zappy5 that I thought would somehow help the situation when in reality, I felt wrong about the tact I used almost immediately after posting.

As a moderator, one of the most important responsibilities I have is to not only mitigate all the toxic elements we’ve discussed ad nauseam, but to also ensure that the temperature of the room doesn’t become too heated or targeted. I failed in that regard, and not only let a valuable member of our community become targeted, I effectively aided in that regard. As I said, I recognized the failure and immediately reached out to Zappy - who is not, and never has been, a troll mind you (seriously, look at their engagement outside this thread - it’s clear they love gaming, Xbox, and this community), but it doesn’t excuse or erase the original act. For that, ‘I’m sorry’ doesn’t quite cut it - but I will absolutely do my damndest to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

This is just a reminder that we never know what each other is going through, nor do we know the myriad of events that have shaped one’s perspectives… it’s a lesson I too forget. So, humbly I ask for this lovely community’s forgiveness, and to ask that everyone lay off Zappy - or any other who disagrees in good-faith or holds a different perspective.

Thanks for reading and allowance granted for one public shaming in this instance - being me of course.

I actually appreciate Zappy, he might be a contrarian or devil advocate but this place would be a giant hug box if everyone just thought the same. We SHOULD have people with varying opinions amd viewpoints

Which is why I said yesterday that on the surface it should satisfy the CMA because it directly provides a remedy to their SLC and requires no oversight which is what they like.

The only issue is that this is the CMA and they did not recommend this, instead they recommended Activision to be completely divested which is ridiculous when compared to their cloud concern.

The gloves are completely off now… MS going for a kill.
