Microsoft Rewards to no longer allow Game Pass sub redemptions

Highest tier will still have Day 1 games, but according to Shinobi it’s raising the price to even higher than 25$.

There will be 2 other tiers (PC Gp will merge into one of these) but none would have all day 1 games.

Honestly praying it’s wrong and PC GP will survive somehow with day 1 games even if it gets a 10-20% price increase, we’ll see, should get announced today most likely.

I think if anything has an inkling of truth it’s PC game pass going away or getting merged into another tier. Xbox Game Pass Core and Standard members on Xbox insiders are piloting having Xbox PC and Xbox Cloud games. It looks like they want all tiers to include Cloud gaming and PC and Xbox Console games. Which I’m not totally for as there are people who only play Xbox games on PC or only on console, but this is already a problem since Xbox game pass console went away.

I mean, its Resetera. Its a bunch of people who already dont have an xbox/GP, and have no plans to ever have either, circle jerking about negative rumors. As is tradition.

I wish I had some kind of magic way to tell whether the people posting "I’m cancelling my subscription " actually had one in the first place.

Also love all the people arguing against the position that “Game Pass price will never go up and will stay $15/month until the end of time” when… who ever claimed that??

I thought all those folks already cancelled their subs as part of the MS Protest earlier this year… Don’t tell me, they sub’d again today just to be able to cancel it…

That’s the beauty of alts! You can be the guy who’s hated Xbox since Ryse Son of Rome and wouldn’t touch one with a 10 foot pole, and simultaneously be the #1 Loyal Xbox Fan who’s Highly Concerned™ and would like to speak to the manager about this price increase.

Managed to redeem five months of GPU yesterday, before Rewards stopped my ordering activity, claiming it was still processing my orders. My last order was cleared while I was asleep.
