PlayStation 5 |OT| This SSD has no limits

If someone does such comparisons it should be exactly the same savefile, same way etc.

Honestly, now that I have my XSX and the game i don’t care much really anymore. If PS5 does end up with a significant loading times edge it was exactly what I expected. Although since the BC loading times videos I started to believe a little different.

  1. I don’t remember it being so slow.
  2. I can get back to my exact point in the game within 10 seconds using QR so who cares?

COD on PS5!!!

Well, the big difference is when you start the game itself not when you load the save

I was going to say XSX is (said to be by Ubi) native 4K and PS5 upscaled and that maybe this should be taken into account. But you’re right, it’s the start.

No logos here either. Theres a video of series x running this game and it has logos which makes it 10s slower

Nope, its not native

JorRaptor said that? Personally I’ll wait for a source like DF to conclude that. They just are the best at it.

What?

Series S can hit 2160p?

It might explain why the game is not 60fps on series S

Yup, they should put a 1080 - 60 mode but ubisoft is too damn lazy

That console is huge compared to the SX. I mean, large! I hope that nothing is wrong with the unit I am selling to my nephew. I would feel bad. As for loading on the SX, it seems to matter who made the game when it comes to compatibility mode - all I’ve played

  • GoW and Ori load pretty fast, especially off of quick resume
  • JFO is definitely slower

I would expect the PS5 to be faster, especially if coded for it

Interesting. Wonder where the PS5 ends up.

4k dynamic 30 on is useless on series S.

I don’t know who at ubisoft took this decision. But it’s rediculus.

XSX not constantly a full native 4K is an example of how taxing 60fps still really is. But man is it lovely, it’s quite hard to go back to a 30fps games now, haha.

But this is the sweet spot for XGS I think too. 1800p or so and 60fps. Maybe option for 30fps.

I’d take all that with a large punch of salt. Wait for DF to look at it.

If you are in Europe. The warranty is much better than consumers are usually aware of. Often it is not limited to the 1 year, but natural expected life of a system, so for a console it may be 3+ years, always check your rights, and its not what the manufacturer/seller says what it is.

Unfortunately, in the USA, consumers do not have same level of protection and can vary from 6-12 month, and may need extended warranty.

I think of DRS as a development time saving trick. Instead of spending time on optimization, quickly make it do able with DRS.

Maybe in later gen, VRS could help in these scenarios.

That’s a good point! That’s all part of RDNA2, right?

I just timed from button press on icon to getting in game and it was 59 seconds. You have to mash A to skip the screens and then soon as you are in you can select continue. No idea why he sat on the screen a while. And A skips logos etc. I deffo thought his time seemed longer than I was used to. I know different save points etc but still.

JorRaptor doesn’t strike me as a fanboy to mislead people on purpose, like that dude on Twitter with Witcher 3 a few days ago. But it doesn’t seem like a perfect comparison.
