TES6 rumor leak

Setting: Hammerfell+Coastal High Rock
Yes: 11 Major Cities, 2 “fortress/cities”, Shipbuilding, Settlement Building, Procedural Generation (Iliac bay), thieves guild, dark brotherhood, fighters guild, mages guild, imperial cult (not joinable), Temple of Three (not joinable), Crowns (exclusionary), Forebears (exclusionary)
If true at all, zero interest in any ship or settlement building but cool for fans of it. Procedural generation eh? As long as there’s plenty of hand crafted content. That’s what it’s about for me.
All the random encounters we run into in Skyrim, like thieves, wizards and daedra that aren’t part of an area are procgen.
With some of them being designed to be in a specific spot. So the procgen on illiac bay or even on ground is going to be the same.
Oh I assumed this was talking about PG locations and such. Because that I would find disappointing, and please as little copy and pasted stuff as possible. I believe both Oblivion and Skyrim had PG environments too, right? Like the landscape itself, i don’t think that’s a problem.
I readung the map for Skyrim was generated using procgen, and they build on top of it(cities, towns, caves, huts).
It’s what they did with Starfield as well, it just there’s so much more space to work with in Starfield that the procgen for locations they build but didn’t place. Tended to show up more often than people wanted it too.
There’s at least a mod or two that try to fix this by making sure they don’t repeat the same location on the same map. Others that add more locations to explore.
But places like New Atlantis and Akila City, were build and place as uniques that don’t show up in more than one location.
Could be. But there’s no proof, no images, no pic of a wall with these infos on it. It’s cheap to post this.
Yeah, at this point it’s just a rumor. We likely won’t hear anything substantual until Bethesda does close betas like with the up coming Starfield update.
I want to believe. In my heart I believe it, because we already knew about some of it, like boat customization. Settlements are in past games like Fallout 4 and Starfield. There’s nothing mind blowing.
I really hope the date is true. Early 2027 would be great. There was a tease related to Skyrim Anniversary dropping on Switch 2 that explicitely mentions “20 to 27”.

They were working on Starfield, that’s just how it goes.
I feel like we can just mark that as the E3 when Bethesda just wanted to do a little trolling. Wasn’t that the same year they did the Skyrim on Alexa (and everything) joke? Long before the anniversary edition dropped? Heck, we just got another Skyrim re-release with the Switch 2 version.
Anyway, Fall 2027 was always what made the most sense in my head. It’d be really great if they can arrange that as a next gen launch title. We’ll see. We’re not too far out now. If it is 2027 then it will be at the showcase in like six months now.
2027 would be sooner than I expected. Probably late 2027 because with what Todd said…I don’t think he’d call early 2027 still far away. But who knows what he meant? Yeah, we’ll see.
