I was excited for a minute, but then I realized it’s the same old console version of the game. Devs have abandoned development of the console version in 2022 to focus on PC and their Odyssey update.
Could it be coming to console at some point and GamePass a way to test the potential ? Maybe. I wish it was.
What we do know is Xbox is going to be a console PC hybrid next gen. This kind of deal opens a door for Elite dangerous on the Windows store, if it’s not already there.
They could surprise everyone by updating the Xbox version now and making the game XPA. Wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened.
Even if its the old version, the game is still wonderful
At this point I’m going to be very disappointed if Xbox Helix doesn’t have VR support. It would be nice to hook up my Xbox MS Flight Sim HOTAS controller alongside VR in games like Elite Dangerous.
Such a beautiful game, I love space exploration. Damn shame they stopped supporting console players
