Are platformers not doing well in the indie scene? Because I figured that’s where the bulk of them are being made.

Yes a bulk are being made in the Indie Scene but I am speaking more on a Higher Budget level… games like spyro, mario, astro come once in a blue moon in the 3d space that feel realllly good. Sorry should have done a better to clarify

Does Lost Crown count? That that game’s team was split it up. Though supposedly it’s because they split up that we’re getting a new Rayman so it guess it works out ?
I’ll keep playing Crash and Spyro games as long as they keep making them

This article has fans questioning whether this is flight only or also platformer. I cannot imagine it won’t have real platformer elements.

It’s not? Does it go more toward metrovania? Idk how those genres differ. Action? Is it more 2d than 3d? Sidescroller? Is Lost Crown a Sidescroller?
