I’m fairly sure I have bought some from the vendor in Akila city a few times.
Id say it’s unlikely, maybe some 40fps VRR mode thing but I think it’s just too unstable for them to bother, unless Xbox has a Pro versio
Although it’s likely somebody does a mod and unlocks the framerate like they did with Skyrim and FO4
When you drop on a planet, explore all the points of interest in that area, you’ll have more ammo than you know what to do with, I explore everything and I have so much ammo that I might need to bump the difficulty up to very hard again
Yep, went there earlier and found a bunch in stock. ![]()
As this will live for many years to come they should definitely invest on improving its optimization and figuring out more efficiencies along the way. They at least should have some of way reducing CPU load, remember Flight Sim did that with later updates.
They explained their view and we talked about the issue at hand a bit and the potential consequenses. It was a very mature talk. Felt… real?
Considering how well the game launched it would be nice in the future but nit 100% needed.
I just hope they fix the HDR washout issue. Its the only real issue Ive found with the game.
I’m about 80 hours into the game. The scale of this game continues to astound me - just in the “curated” areas, not even counting all the procgen stuff.
I finished the Ryujin faction quest yesterday and did several other side quests in Neon. While randomly running around Neon I stumbled upon several large areas that the quests never led me to. I assume that means I have more quests to find for Neon. Either that or Bethesda just went nuts trying to make fish processing plants, low income housing areas, etc believable for Neon.
Crimson fleet is next on the list. I think that is the last of the major faction quests I haven’t finished.
One question. I have heard there are major settlements/cities aside from Neon, Akila City, New Atlantis, and Cydonia. Am I likely to come across them naturally or are they so far off the beaten path that you have to stumble upon them?
Thanks, so just to clarify your current ships, credits and weapons do not transfer over?
If that’s the case I might as well concentrate on that stuff on my NG+ (especially now I know there’s 10 of them!)
Absolutely, some of that content is literally worthy of a whole standalone game. I spent couple of days just doing everything I could in Cydonia, it gave me so much Deus Ex Mankind Divided vibes.
Anybody just exploring unknown location on planets. Some of the ones i’ve been to have enormous buildings with so many rooms. If they are procedural generated? Its the best procedural generated details i have ever seen. It looks just as good as the fixed city locations of Neon for example.
I did some of those and my problem with them is the lack of context and story that tie them, there’s always some pirates or spacers, but not really anything more interesting like the lore or personal stories, feel like shooting and looting galleries. I think those would be great groundwork for mods though.
According to HDTVtest Vincent, it may be a artistic choice as the HDR is working on loading and the main menu.
Personally I think Bethesda was going for the look of old videos and photos from space missions.
From some if the slates I’ve picked up, pirates/crimson fleet are there on orders from the head of their organization. To take over all andonded facilities and use them as forward bases for a future push against the other factions.
Haven’t found anything from Spacers or Sithis worshipers yet. I run into them less(only once for the cult), but generally spacers are there to scavenge and steal it seems.
2nd most played in the US only behind Fortnite now, HL and Elden Ring didn’t do that, not bad, I do wonder if these take into account Xbox One players though, Halo Infinite and FH5 were number 1 for a time but those were on Xbox One and Halo MP F2P.
I notice sometimes when going into a black load screen it would have a brown-ish filter that quickly switches off
It would definitely take into account Xbox One
Unless it’s two separate versions like GTA where it has a specific X/S version as well as XB1 version then both would count as the same thing
In the most popular GP section, XB1 GTA is #2 while the X/S version is #7 in the UK at least
John at DF discussed this on their recent Direct, it’s a deliberate color grading choice to evoke the retro futuristic aesthetic they were going for. He said there are mods that totally remove the color grading, and the feel of the game is very different-- which way is better is in the eye of the beholder.
No its a bug. HDR is very very washed out while if you turn off HDR on the Xbox it looks normal.
At the very least we need brightness, gamma and contrast controls but the washed out HDR image is a bug that needs to be fixed
Thats correct. Your ships, credits and equipment won’t transfer over to NG+.
