Great review as always Jesse! it sounds like a very good Zelda-like but the true ending grind sounds painful and not fun at all.

I’ll definitely check this out sometime in the future when the price drops because the day one price is too much IMO. Still cool to see SE trying new things!

Demo at first seemed cool until that Princess on the lower left of the screen just couldn’t shut the fuck up, seriously too annoying. Even when i put the chattiness to low it was still too much. She seriously said “now” when I was charging my sword and I was able to do the attack, can we not please?

It also felt way too easy for my liking.

I like her innocent charm. Wish they bantered more often though. Your comment immediately brought this old Dorkly video to mind: https://youtu.be/hQd_PeOf2R0?si=cugLoycox6iEml28

Never played Skyward sword, but I guess this is a trope in JRPGs. For some reason. There’s one in SMT V too.

Sand Land had that problem too, it was insane how often the same dialogue was said. Really enjoyed it and thank god I was able to put it to Japanese voices because I cannot cope with cringe ass English voices in Japanese games. It’s just not possible for me. :joy:

Demo was great, but the price for these HD-2D games is off.

Great read as always, Jesse.

Collectible cats? This goes on the wishlist!

Good video review Jesse. Pre-ordered this game over a month ago and im looking forward to playing it but don’t know when I will get to it. I did play the first demo last summer which was exclusive to Switch 2 and really enjoyed it to where I completed the entire demo in just over 6 hours. The stuff you have to do to get the true ending (I googled it) is stupid because it’s cumbersome to say the least and if you don’t have a guide, how would anyone even know this?

Anyway, looking forward to playing this but again, don’t know when I will get to it.
