I think it’s because the Xbox controller is popular amongst PC players, and to a lesser extent there may also be xCloud only users out there who don’t even have an Xbox but want to play on their TV or phones or something.
Xbox Controller is the ultimate moneymaker for Xbox ![]()
More xbox controller than actual games this year.
The more things change the more they remain same.

Wonder if MS will be able to dominate November thanks to a flood of Series S at a low price bundled with some games for Black Friday? It’s been 2 months of PS5 leading sales I believe in terms of units (dollars I care less since PS5 average should normally be higher). It’s time for MS to reclaim the top spot!

Xbox is holding a steady 4-5k lately. Good to see. Persona has a pretty good opening on Switch for a late port. PS5 Persona was never expected to sell much, overall a pretty useless port. Nice to see Ultra Kaiju secure a good spot on there, this feels like one of those “quirky” little games from the 3DS days or something and it’s nice to see games like that still having a market.
Sony is really sending a lot of consoles to Japan. Really don’t want to lose JP support.
Was there a bundle or something special with GT7? It wasn’t listed last time, but here, it’s back.
Whenever you see a PS exclusive for PS5 randomly return to the top 10, yes, it means it was bundled with a PS5 sale ![]()
So it just popped 10,000 like that. I mean if it was listed for a while in that range or close to it, it will be easy to understand. But it wasn’t there before and the lowest one there was 3,000 range. You tell me. This applies to all platforms, not just PS.
4k ain’t bad although I was hoping they’d have a lot more there for Persona’s launch
Out of of the 28,661 PS5s sold this week, ~10,000 of them were bundled with GT7. It just means that the GT7 bundle was probably out of stock last week but was in stock this week.
So I was right. Mmm, I’m good.

Persona on Switch outsold Soul Hackers 2 physically uncombined (and probably digitally considering Persona is like #3 on JP eshop), and when you combine the numbers for both, it’s about the same. The difference is one is a late port that didn’t cost nearly as much (even if SH2 is very budget). I guess we’ll find out if Sega will accept a moneyhat from Sony, I still don’t think they will. Not every JP company is Square Enix, even Capcom won’t take moneyhats now.
I read your reply the wrong way. My apology. So it was bundled. I thought it was sarcasm at first but it really was the case. I was confused with Royal for PS5 charted because didn’t the physical already happened. Then I remember, this is PS5, not PS4. At least fans there is giving another look at the franchise, now on Switch.
Persona is way more popular.
Im interested to know how well this gsme does outside japan
P5 on ps4 is atluss most successful game ever.
Playstation profit margins are melting away. No wonder Jim Ryan is this nervous.
House of cards.
“Sony’s shares have fallen by almost a third so far this year as investors fret about the strength of the games business amid competition from Xbox maker Microsoft Corp“
The irony is that the real competition hasn’t started yet
Reading that they manufactured 6.5M PS5 in Q2, wonder why they would hold back. Would be the hot Xmas gift either way.
