I already thought this lady Maphra was the best new singer I’ve heard in YEARS, but holy shit balls. Now I NEVER liked Linkin Park, not with their old singer, or the new one and certainly didn’t imagine even a cover of one of their songs could possibly be enjoyable…..WRONG!
Because Maphra is a fuckin miracle worker…

I finally listen to it today after seeing it recommended a few times here and there. First 30 seconds got me hooked. It’s amazing! Really hypnotic compositions!
It reminds me of Tera Melos, Battles or more recently Mandy, Indiana.
It’s always cool when more people discover Math-Rock, Post-Rock or Experimental music in general, as it’s supposed to be a very elitist genre, very niche and hard to get into.

I hope they are enjoying being in the spotlight, because their merch store is entirely sold out, all venues until next month also sold out and vinyls are selling for 400$ on ebay.
