What are you currently playing?

Going to take a short break from Starfield and do a play through of Dark Souls 1 and Morrowind! Dark Souls should be done fairly quickly it’s like a 10 hour game without dlc so I should be able to get back to Starfield while playing through Morrowind.

have not even finished 007 First Light yet, but after all the shit I just did…Pragmata has SERIOUS competition as my personal GOTY so far. No spoilers but I just earned the “No Time to Die” achievment and if ya know, ya know

I m still playing Luna Abyss which is getting better and better, combat and platforming is getting even more fun and engaging plus level design is pretty good so far. Pleasantly surprised with this game so far.

Also I am playing FH6 which is such a freakin’ amazing game, I just love the options that this series is giving to the player. Do you want to do some progress with the campaign and do some races? do you want to play online? do you want to chill out, explore the map and take some photos or even engage with something like the auction house to buy some cool cars or sell some and make some money? how about some weekly challenges? I have almost 40hrs in the game and barely touched the single player path (I still haven’t completed the race against the mecha for example)…there’s so many things to see and do in this game and you can do all that at your own pace. The way those games are designed is so cool and fun.

Installed and played for about an hour 007 First Light too and the first impression is very positive, loved what I played so far.

Might have to eat my words with the Elliot demo. I can see myself ending up spending $60 if not $70 on it. Still haven’t finished the demo but the combat gets surprisingly more intricate with a second weapon. The Dungeon puzzles feel fun but not frustrating. I’m kinda getting an idea for how the main story will go, but the vibe I’m getting is also that it’ll be a game that’s easy to pick up, but also be hard to put down.

I saw the demo of the Elliot game you are talking about so I downloaded it. I like it, it’s like a modern squeenix take on A Link to the Past. I didn’t have time to play long but I bought the boomerang, a vial, and collected two pieces of heart before saving and quitting near the beastmen area. I probably won’t pay full price, not because I think it doesn’t deserve it, but because by the time I get to it it will be cheaper. I still have to finish Raidou, get Metaphor, finish FF7 Rebirth & XVI etc etc as far as jrpgs are concerned. Anyway, good game, thanks

It is a busy time with lots of great games. In that way the demo is really working for me; I just don’t want to put it down.

Just put the Lord Vessel down in front of the door and have reached the halfway point for Dark Souls, currently level 47 and 2 hours and 48 minutes in.

I just have 6 maybe 8 bosses left before I finish the game, I’m leaning towards farming humanity in the sewers though, just to skip 2 bosses and the lava walking section.

In Morrowind, my character is mostly set up, I just have to keep doing alchemy for money and buy some training in the arena’s fighter living space to make round out my combat as I do the second quest in the main quest line.

Played the Onimusha demo last night. It’s good but pressing up on the directional pad to heal requires some pressure and the animation takes too long. Aside from that, the “dodge” move is more like a side step than an actual dodge. Otherwise, real good. Played the demo on story mode and died twice. I can easily see this game being difficult even on story mode, at least for me anyway. Definitely feels souls like in this regard.

Started Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight yesterday. Took me about four hours to get through the prologue even though im not sure it’s the entire prologue. lol

What a freaking game. I’m not a Lego guy at all but holy shit, this game is so good. It’s LITERALLY Batman Arkham in Lego form. lol

Will get back to playing it later today.

FH6 every day. Really trying to focus on getting the gold wristband. But the jump from purple to gold is quite large compared to the others. Telling myself, once I get the gold wristband, I’ll try to chill out on things and play the game more organically and just relax with it.

Activated easy mode in Dark Souls(heavy armor) and Morrowind(money) and have progressed the main story in both.

It also helps that the Black Knight dropped the Halberd, which is one of the best weapons in the game. Now I just have 2 bosses to defeat before I finish the base game.

Just finished 007 First Light. Amazing experience. Easily my 2nd favorite video game of 2026 after Pragmata, which will probably only be topped by Halo Campaign Evolved or Gears E Day

Started Final Fantasy XVI a few days ago. The first two hours were endless cutscenes but after that it gets interesting. Combat is still kinda ass at the moment, you just mash X and occasionally dodge, but maybe it’ll get better. Thinking about renewing my sub to Final Fantasy XIV as well, I stopped playing because I couldn’t get enough people to do the raids in Crystal Tower in my region but I might be able to get around that now

Just finished Dark Souls 1, I got a little distracted by Morrowind so I haven’t been playing it the last couple of days.

At level 71 and 5 hours and 36 minutes that makes this my fastest play through of the game. At least I think so, the Claire save file may have been in NG+.

The combat/gameplay in FF XVI is good at best but it’s the weakest aspect of the game in my opinion. The story/characters is the strongest aspect followed by the music soundtrack and voice acting.

For me, it was a great 8.5/10 overall carried by the story/characters and the audio. Hope you enjoy the rest of the game.

I’m about 10.5 hours in now and the combat has definitely gotten a bit more involved, as I have Garuda now and I’ve just gotten the Limit Break ability. When I made my original post I was only a couple hours in, the combat has definitely improved since then.

Clive and Cid are talking about infiltrating the Empire’s capital and mother crystals. It’s a good game for sure, 8.5/10 is a fair score for it. Im doing all the sidequests and I bought the dlc for it. Thank you

I’m so happy bros, I beat the content that was stopping my progress in Final Fantasy 14. I was stuck on Crystal Tower and no one was running the Syrcus Tower raid when I last played in 2024. I don’t know if there are more people in my region playing or what but Friday night is a great time to do raids. I’m up to Heavensward now which seems pretty good. In Final Fantasy 16 I just unlocked the Limit Break and channeled Ifrit. Other games I’m dabbling in are Gradius Origins, Mamorukun ReCurse, River City Girls and Mina the Hollower

I bought the complete edition for Xbox last weekend when it was on sale for $28 despite already owning it on PlayStation 5 but since Square Enix is back to being fully multi-platform, I prefer to play it on my Xbox Series X (also bought Rebirth even though I own and beat it at launch for PS5) and will be buying FF VII Revelation on Xbox as well.

Haven’t gotten to either expansion yet. I need to go through the base game again to get to them. I’m 67% through my replay of it on PS5 but that was a year ago and I just don’t care about playing games on my PS5 unless I have no other choice.

Hope to replay XVI and Rebirth on Xbox before Revelation but with so many new game releases throughout the rest of 2026 and an already stacked first quarter for 2027, who knows if I will have the time to do so. lol

Hope you keep enjoying the game as it’s really good overall.

Yes I was big on Switch 1 for a while there because of all the Square and Atlus games but I’ve come back to playing them on Xbox. From the summer games fest I’m interested in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the 2dhd Final Fantasy (Resonance?), and the two Persona games. Do you play Final Fantasy 14 Online? I hope you are able to replay 16 and rebirth. I’m enjoying 16 a fair bit and will most likely finish it

Final Fantasy VII Revelation is a guarantee for me. I am surprised that it’s currently scheduled for Spring 2027. I was expecting early 2028 to be honest. I’m interested in Final Fantasy Resonance even though I prefer real time combat and strategy turn based combat like Mutant Year Zero or the Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle game but it looks awesome.

I have a question for you regarding Resonance…why are there two turn bars/meters at the top of the screen? I was watching gameplay of the game and for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out why there’s two bars?

No interest in Persona and haven’t played that series since PS One and all I remember was playing a poker machine over and over.

Was interested in Final Fantasy XIV online when it released on Xbox but the game has years and years of content and there’s just no way im going to get through it all plus I prefer playing solo and I know that other players are in the game world with me which outside of Arc Raiders (which is minimal majority of the time), im not into at all.

FF XIV is similar to Genshin Impact which I played around 10 hours of two years ago when it released on Xbox but the issues are the same. Years and years worth of content that im never ever going to have the time to get through unless I want to sacrifice all the other games that I want to play which im not going to do. Shame too because I really liked Genshin Impact as a lot of it reminds me of Immortals Fenyx Rising which I loved.

Thanks, hopefully I get to replay them at some point before Revelation releases. Let me know how you enjoyed FF XVI overall once you complete the game.
