I get that when the programme launched they wanted things perfect, especially with Frame boast, but now even if a game frame rate boost is only for 70% of a title, they should go for it.
I also find it disappointing that when they had DF around the camp to show off the XBox they had raytracing for Minecraft and were showing off Resolution Boost, yet 3 years into the Series X nothing seen from either.
The cloud might be great for MS in terms of money, but for an Xbox Series X gamer, it’s not doing much for me it’s other than being brilliant to synch saves to any Xbox you log into. So much better than how SONY handle their cloud saves
And maybe you’re being overly optimist It just seems that for many, the only answer for MS to buy ever more studios. Rather than make far better use of the studios they already have or learn how to market and sell a console again, XBox PR is non-existent
Other studios can manage having huge multi player online games, whilst working on other projects. The hard work and ground has been done for Infinite 343 got a brilliant game with wonderful AI. It should be all set up for the team to build on that and produce a sequel with just more variety in the environments and have gameplay from the sections that were shown off in the 2018 trailer: like desert or water sections.
Halo Infinite is still for me the best game of this generation, nothing comes close or any system IMO.
I really doubt HALO SP Campaign is the focus for now. Thing is we do not have the sales of Halo and the amount of people who played the campaign for more than a few hours, I bet this is a low number and MS has that number and make decision based on that.
Unfortunately, Xbox has negative impression in Japan because FUD, skipping games, console war, toxic xbox fanboy and very poor marketing.
Buying a Japanese publisher would be only way to change this situation.
“Many said”, that is the definition of Internet. I do not deny that Halo MP was rough at launch but it has improves a lot since, of course haters will still take 2021 impressions for ever (2021 impressions still got Halo the best of the year TGA award for the public, despite “many said”).
People underestimate the cost of making hardware, not talking about inflation on top of it. You want the S to cost less than a ps4 or switch, and you talk about having a good PR at the same time ?
I’d rather have more free games and great showcases.
Look at any forum and its Playstation fanfiction in desperate hope that Sony will buy a publisher. Most playstation fans are looking ahead to a console without Bethesda, Activision and Blizzard and seeing a dearth of games.
Over at gamefaqs many of the hardcore equine have closed their accounts out of shame. The can’t bare the thought of gamings biggest release being the flagship of a subscription service they’ve been trolling for half a decade.
Sony is clearing stock because they are making that detachable disc drive unit. They want to destroy physical game sales and ownership to help their bottom line since PSN+ has lost 6 million subscribers in the last year and probably a lot more now they lost Call of Duty.
Sadly Sony only wants to release 2 games a year which is dreadful, especially if you dont like baseball!
It is probably easier to cut the price of a 550$ machine than a 300$ one. Again, you underestimate how much tech there is in the Series S (SSD, CPU, RAM) that can not be easily discounted.
I do recall Jez saying parity could be a reason the raytracing mode in Minecraft isn’t enabled. It didn’t come out in court that there isn’t a current gen version yet.
Yes, they say that, it’s probably FF Pixel Remaster, and if it happens that’s fine. What I mean is that it’s not the first time that things seem to be better between Xbox and Square Enix (FF, Dragon Quest, KH, Octopath Traveler on the GP), and in the end, the reconciliation didn’t last very long. I prefer to be cautious when it comes to Square Enix. If there is a real change that’s great, but in any case I don’t expect him to join Xbox or stop signing Playsation contracts.
