Xbox Developer Direct returns on January 23rd, 2025

Well, in this day and gen. That will not be smart of them as Xbox is swlowly and surely becoming a great place to play and they cannot ignore that any longer.

Not sure. NG2B is likely got reworked to make the game more accessible, especially where that game was little more of cheap hard than real hard.

Good point!

But hey, you can now play today on Game Pass!

Game Pass January just got incredibly sick with that addition. Nobody saw that coming!

I do wonder if that was the rumor 5th game. If so, I’ll take it!

Were those two leaked?

I have no idea, I tried my best to avoid it.

I still think we might get a surprise before or after Doom Dark Ages.

2020: No games, Xbox! Bring them if you have any!

2025: Too much games, Xbox! Don’t bring them anymore!

Even if Fable were to move into 2026(I hope so much it doesn’t) we will have Ninja Gaiden 4 to keep us occupied.

And much more.

God I love this hobby.

How I wish this engine was used for the next Halo. Not UE5.

Yeah, this made me remember why I miss Doom.

Kaiju battle, let’s go!!!

Its like they made this game just for me…

Likely would have taken too much investment (cross training for the engine vs the ubiquity of UE, etc. ). Believe me, I’m right there with you but bespoke engines have a few downsides, and that’s one of them; plus, who knows the modifications the engine would require, as we’ve seen with Void and MG’s new iteration of idTech. That is one of the areas I wish the industry would be more transparent about - I love the nerdy tech dives at GDC and DICE, and journalists should maybe do more of that instead of constantly pushing the console warring, Sony-favored nonsense (you know… like most other journalists attempt to in other areas of tech, for example).
