Presented by the game creators themselves from studios including Arkane Austin, Mojang Studios, Turn 10 Studios, and ZeniMax Online Studios, theDeveloper_Direct will focus on big features, extended gameplay showcases, and the latest info for Xbox games launching in the next few months, including The Elder Scrolls Online, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends, and Redfall.

I don’t know if this was picked up but I wonder what they mean by ā€œbig featuresā€ because they also say extended gameplay showcases. If they just said one or the other I’d just expect gameplay but they said both. Big features could be two things, it could literally be features like KB/M on cloud on console and PC or it could be a feature as in just showing something off like Redfall and the other games but that would for me fall into extended gameplay.

Idk I’m probably looking into it too much and we’ll see sooner or later haha.

Probably something related to Hermaeus Mora.

ESO influencers got a teaser.

"Proxy, the tide of fate swirls around you with glorious fury and has chosen you to serve as its surrogate in a crisis most perilous. The future of at least two worlds hangs in the balance. Your talent for changing destiny has been noticed, hence the reason for this letter. "Many paths lead forward, but only one ends with the survival of Nirn. At this particular moment, in this specific instance, you must be the thread that keeps reality itself from unraveling. ā€œI shall summon you as soon as the inescapable fortunes of consequence show me where we are needed most. ~ Leramil the Wiseā€

Maybe they end with a tease for Starfield show.

Or something else…

Or both?

Whatever it will be, surprises are nice.

More could be 3rd party announcements maybe? Or could just be some Gamepass stuff.

As usual I doubt it’s anything big, although I guess it’s nice to dream!

I’m not expecting anything besides the four games they announced for the show. If there’s anything else like other game announcements or Game Pass announcements, that will be a bonus for me. If they were having a ā€œregularā€ show, then they wouldn’t tell you what exactly is going to be there.

For the first Developer Direct, all im interested in is Redfall, a release date for it and to see the format and layout of the show so they can build on it with their second, third, etc. show later on.

They nail this and I can’t complain. Still far better than having to wait until June for any kind of Xbox show.

I’m also not expecting to see anything other than the 4 things they’ve said, though I’m obviously fine with anything unexpected. Personally this should be a big one for me as I love Forza, and I’m still interested in seeing more about Redfall as well. Minecraft Legends while idobt want to play against other people, I’m looking forward to seeing how they built it for single players and hoping that this one also is as unexpectedly good as but clearly different from Minecraft Dungeons. Not really into ESO like games, but I’m interested in 3/4 of what they’ve said will be shown so that’s better than most things any platform or studio put out. Also excited because I’m pretty sure I’ll be playing all 3 of these within a few months at most.

This show is going to be WILD.

They’ve already shown off Minecraft Legends and Forza in depth, so I don’t think much time will be spent on these, maybe 5 minutes each.

ESO expansion is getting its own show straight after so they might spend 3 minutes tops on this.

That leaves half an hour of content.

Let’s be generous and say redfall gets a whole 10 minutes dedicated to it, that still leaves another 20 minutes.

I predict a HUGE GamePass sizzle reel, with the biggest drop yet, gameplay trailers for Fable and Perfect Dark, some surprises such as Goldeneye shadow drop and gears collection reveal, and finishing off the show with a small Starfield trailer, and an announcement for the Starfield 1 hour showcase where Todd walks through the game much like he did for Skyrim many years ago.

I predict…they will show exactly what they said they are going to show. You know…like in that giant article they posted stating exactly what the show will have in it.

That’s where I am though I wouldn’t be suprised by a gamepass sizzle reel of games coming over the next few months. I’m still expecting a big show around E3

I think the best thing to expect with this show is that this is Xbox clearing the table. We know of five huge games that we expect to drop soon. We will hear about the four they’ve announced - Redfall, Minecraft, Forza, ESO, and the Starfield afterwards.

And then the exciting shit happens. Once the table has been cleared we can start speculating like the Famiboards folks do when there IS a Direct announced.

Expect what they’ve announce and don’t be disappointed when they don’t.

Nope the said ā€œand moreā€ if I recall and it only makes sense for a HUGE gmepass drop since we’ve missed 3 GamePass announcements in a row.

One other thing to add to my prediction, the obvious release of wild rift in Xbox console with the GamePass perk for all characters (which still isn’t out for mobile wild rift, only says January release on the blog)

You really shouldn’t do this to yourself. Xbox set clear expectations when they announced this direct. Besides, ā€œand moreā€ can indeed mean some new announcements for Game Pass games, it should after this weird ass first half, but Perfect Dark trailer? No. I don’t even think that’s going to be a E3 thing.

If Forza is still planned for this first half than it really needs to be shown a lot more. What they showed at E3 was brief, so it makes sense to dive deep into it now. Same for Minecraft and Redfall. Don’t set yourself up for a big disappointment with expectations you created yourself.
