Yeah, but itâs still strange. Spyro is on the cloud and COD, whatâs the hold up with blizzard games? Like they could do at least Diablo IV and Overwatch given how popular both are. Plus Nvidia has streaming for Diablo IV. Does Ubisoft specifically not want to give Xbox the ability to stream Diablo IV?
Streaming License for Spyro is probably cheaper. And Ubisoft might have jacked up prices when their stock was trending downward, maybe even catching MS off-guard.

I continue to think about this price hike and xboxâs motives. My actions after the increase was to stack to 3 years at the old price. So the earliest Iâll be paying $30/mo USD is October 2028. So ultimately, xbox told sub stackers, your sub is going up to $30/mo late 2028. To me, that feels a lot different than going up to $30/mo today.
What about MTM people? Would this scenario encourage them to stack? Iâm guessing yes, at least a portion of them.
This creates platform ecosystem lock in. Which is important. An easier way to accomplish this would be to offer an annual rate but since they donât, stacking months/years in advance kinda gets you to the same place.
It would be interesting to know the percentage of GP subs that stack vs MTM. Itâs a big money commitment to stack, and everyone has their own budgets to work around. But it is an option.
I know all subs are compared to netflix as the standard and they donât stack or have annual plans (i think?). The result is with video streaming services it is really easy to just rotate around from one to the other.
And, when you are approaching a new xbox generation, having a percentage of your customer base âlocked inâ to your ecosystem, it creates some certainty to what customers will be showing up and potentially upgrading to the new boxes.

Iâll still use Game Pass (Iâm good until 2028) because what other option do we have to rent games? Gamefly? Thats over $27 a month for two games at a time and the wait time between getting games delivered is horrible.
Like the majority Xbox hardware owners and gamers in general, I play fortnite. The fortnite crew value is pretty high and includes easily over $20 value at itâs standalone $13 price point.
Adding ubi games to game pass alongside EA is great. Perks are cool. Over 70 day one games a year is more than I could or would ever buy in a single year myself. Will I play everything, nah. Will I play enough to get my moneyâs worth, absolutely!
Each tier was made better in my opinion and having a $10 cloud option thatâs finally out of beta could also be a game changer.
Does all this mean that Iâm happy about the price increase, absolutely not!
You know what Iâm also not happy about. The constant pile on that happens around any official xbox information drops, be it good or bad. The clickbait articles and the people who clearly always have it out for Xbox/Game Pass now pretending to be all upset and bothered.
Theyâre upset about a price increase to a service they claimed for the better part of a decade was the worst thing to happen to gaming.
Theyâre canceling a service they previously claimed to not like or support⌠how does that work?
Now theyâre saying things like itâs not the best deal in gaming? So theyâre admitting it was before this increase and they were still hating it then?
No room in this conversation to compare the value of Game Pass to whatâs actually going on with the out of control Playstation and Nintendo prices.

There is this special magical thing called the block and ignore buttons over on things like youtube , x, facbook and all forms of social media and such.
Once you click on it, your mental health improves greatly. Thatâs what i did with mrmattyplays and actman and asmongold and my mood was improved greatly since then as i just watch dungeons and dragon stuff on youtube nowadays.

The problem its just that its the same old thing without any good critique. Most of the good critiques were made during the day of the price hike with the whole people cancelling gamepass ultimate or downgrading to premium and whatnot. That already sent a clear message. Now its a waiting game to see if it forced something out of xbox exec and microsoft heads in regard to pricing around the world(Cause the will need to, over 120 reais is not cheap in the slightest).

Just officially bumped myself down to Premium, starting 12/8. I have until then to beat Keeper and play as much Oblivion and Outer Worlds 2 as possible before taking a break for a while. 
Iâd seriously consider even busting down to Essential if I didnât still play Forza Motorsport all the time. Next time FM goes on sale, that might tear it.
