Xbox Game Pass |OT| Our Backlogs Are Doomed

Oh man, that would be a big shame. Because Yakuza has become a turn based game, or well, the battles, which is a lot in these games and Judgment was the real time one.

Yeah this elevated this drop to Great.

Seems like Hypercharge is coming to Game Pass soon.

Paws is much cheaper than tales. Tales would be a mucj better get right now but maybe theyre saving cash for soul hackers 2

Tales of Arise is the perfect entry point into JRPGs. I didn’t like it at all, but putting it into Game Pass could attract a lot of new gamers for this genre.

ToA has a serious story, fast paced action combat, almost zero grind, beautiful world and almost zero anime cringe stuff.

quietly adds that to wish list…

Yeah, it’s been on sale a few times, but I’m patient enough to wait for Game Pass even if it’s another year or two away.

I honestly think it’s more likely we get 3-4 smaller titles a month than 1 huge and 1 smaller.

I don’t know, it’s kinda on Microsoft Xbox I prove that the lowered quantity for the sub will lead to a higher quality overall…. Or they’ll just throw more smaller games at us (which I think is more likely).

I honestly don’t mind the small games most haven’t heard of, because I usually have already bought the ones I’m interested in.

Why should they though? They can always make a deal as it won’t even require a defensive acquisition. I doubt Sony or Tencent are in the rush to acquire some simulator game :joy:

Lol at Microsoft “saving the cash” :joy:

What? Gold is an old outdated service which is kept afloat due to a big chunk of users still using it. No reason to encourage them stick to it  In fact, they can probably even remove GwG and no one will care as I believe - and I mentioned it a couple of times - people who still on Gold are do that for the multiplayer and multiplayer only.

Agree to disagree I suppose!

Only way I see them keeping the number of games down to 2 is either:

A.) This is their way of making up for the price hike they wanted to make last year

B.) They’ll improve to “Higher Demanded Titles”

C.) Gold is on their last leg and this is just another step toward them slowly phasing it out.

I will go with C

Oct/Nov will coincide with Ubisoft+ (legacy titles only a la EA Play) replacing Gold in GP Ultimate. It will be announced at XO23 in early October which will be a month after the Assassins’ Creed 15th anniversary celebrations.

I think the Ubi games will just be added over time to help pad out the monthly lineup.

then what about my prophecy?

Seriously though, they’d have to do something to justify Ultimate to a lot of people who use GP and Gold but don’t have a PC and can’t access cloud (like me). Perhaps Ultimate will be the new family plan

What are the chances they enhance syndicate. I dont want to play open world creed games anymore.

So after wrapping up Omori, Hollow Knight, and Life is Strange: True Colors, I figured I’d mess around in Skyrim a bit until a new Game Pass entry catches my eye.

I hadn’t played since the last DLC came out on the 360, and didn’t expect to get into it, just wanted to fool around a bit. I’m level 32 now and having a blast!

Annoyingly though, the version on Game Pass is the Special Edition (includes all DLC), and I own the Anniversary Edition (which also includes a bunch of “Creation Club” content which is paid mods or something). I was trying to remote play from my console (Quick Resume) and kept getting this error on the Xbox PC app:

Annoying, but not a huge deal. I tried to stream through xCloud instead but…that’s the Special Edition so trying to load up my save threw up a warning that a ton of my stuff wasn’t compatible. I decided against loading the save in case it screwed everything up. I briefly considered trying the PC version, but it isn’t a Play Anywhere title (since it obviously released before the Zenimax acquisition)

There’s clearly still a good deal of work that needs to be done with streaming if this kind of situation arises with a huge name like Skyrim, one of Microsoft’s biggest IP.

I cannot believe how much I’m enjoying Skyrim though, and it’s kind of making me want to give ESO a shot.

Do you not get a pretty much broken main menu when you have the Xbox online and you start Skyrim SE? I’ve had this horrible issue since late last year when they brought that Legendary thing and it has been broken since. I can’t access creation club or mods section because it basically just freezes almost instantly on the main menu. With Xbox offline the main menu is fine.

Wow, you just can’t even launch the game from the main menu if you’re connected? That sucks a lot! My Series X is wired so it’s always online, and I haven’t had any issues at all with bugs so far. Fingers crossed that that stays the case. I continued a save that predated the release of the Anniversary stuff, so that can’t be the issue.

It never was an issue until Legendary Edition patch came out, been broken ever since. Sent multiple tickets to Bethesda support though, they replied, we’re like more than half a year further now. It doesn’t seem to be widespread strangely enough. Some people on Reddit have the same errors. Those that took the upgrade to LE don’t have it at all.

Basically I start the game and I have to press A repeatedly like a madman to at least continue the game. But to get to the mods and CC section you have to go down and by that time it has already locked up, lol.

That sounds absolutely miserable

I really hope that having MS resources means Bethesda games can come out a bit more polished…
