I believe he knows Redfall, but Starfield is probably sealed for now. I think when the show is ready to show, he will likely find out the release date and may be say it out loud.
Please not June, don’t make me choose between Diablo 4 and Starfield, i am more hyped about the latter one but Coop/Gaas games kinda “force” you to play day 1…
Just give it a couple more of polish time ![]()
I really think that Contraband is coming out in the next half of this year…
Jez Corden mentioned last year that it was delayed out of 2022 so there is a possibility that it is coming this year.
This would possibly mean that Hellblade 2 and Contraband will be the big games this fall.
It could be, that game is coming out in the next 18 months. A lot of games were targeting that window, My guess is its been pushed to next year.
Forgot that game existed tbh
Starfield will be the first true system-seller for XBox since Halo 5. If it can beat 5 million retail sales that will be a BIG # to achieve, since no XBox One or S/X game as sold that much since.
That’s not true, Sea of Thieves has sold well over 5 million on Steam alone, FH5 had over 1 million players pre launch and that required buying the deluxe edition or the premium dlc via Game Pass or something like that, point is it’s probably up there in sales figures too
Starfield will sell far, far beyond that on steam alone buts sales figures will be hard to compare going forward considering GP is a thing
Indeed.
In addition to that, there are many in the top overall / new release charts for the entire year for Steam by revenue as well.
The top sellers of Steam in 2021 had Sea of Thieves, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, and Age of Empires IV, Anniversary Edition, Age of Empires II, Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The top sellers of Steam in 2022 also listed Forza Horizon 5, Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, and Microsoft Flight Simulator, Age of Empires IV Anniversary Edition, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 4, and Grounded.
Steam info @ Best of Steam - 2021 and Best of Steam - 2022 .
Yeah ok, but what about the UK physical chart?
No one really cares how it does at retail. 25 million players in a month will suffice. Actually that might be too low. Thats just Halo Infinite numbers.
Game Pass has been a true system seller
On one hand I want skip watching the upcoming Starfield show because I don’t want to see too much, rather experience it all myself. But I do trust that Todd won’t reveal every new exciting thing. On the other hand I am excited to see how much it has improved over the E3 showing in the framerate aspect, and the hit reactions.
And I wouldn’t want to miss Todd finally revealing the real release date there. Fuck. ![]()
Am I missing something in this headline? Pentiment is an Obsidian game. Avowed is an Obsidian game. Were they the storytelling director for Pentiment as a contractor or are they just joining the Avowed team after working on Pentiment?
the latter
I know it’s impossible to tell what this means for how far they are with the game, but I do wonder exactly how far along they are. Hoping that this E3 it’s finally time for “soon”.
We will see Avowed this year.
Does anyone think about what Zenimax originally had for 2023? I am curious in this second half of the year we could see another Zenimax game. Maybe that Tokyo Gameworks game I’ve been hearing about.
Ghostwire for Xbox and probably Hi-Fi Rush and I think that would have been it. Bethesda sometimes has “off years” where they don’t have many major releases (2019 comes to mind, I think it was just Youngblood, although Doom Eternal got delayed to 2020), and then other years where they have several big games (2017 with Prey, DOTO, Wolf 2 and Evil Within 2).
I reckon Indiana Jones is the next major project after Starfield and Redfall, and that will be 2024 at the absolute earliest. Arkane Lyon and id are further off. ZOS and Roundhouse are wild cards and could have announcements at any time.
