Xbox Game Studios |OT10| Here are the games

It helps that fallout 76 is actually an improved experience now. Compared to launch it’s night and day.

Yeah, that would be ideal. Because man, it’s depressing to think about how far away a proper singleplayer Fallout game could be, damn.

BGS obviously won’t be able to, Obsidian has their hands full. Uruqheart did say he would love to make one before he retires but we have no idea in which time frame this would be.

Other options would be a studio outside of XGS. Doubt Todd likes that idea though.

If only it had gotten Series X enhanced. I’m sorry but it’s way overdue.

Even if some other studio would take over, we won’t see it until the next gen of consoles.

BGS games are just too huge now. Each IP needs their own dedicated studio but that’s very easy to say, it’s probably incredibly hard to do that feat.

I can confidently state that this is the only reason. If the game was not making money, support would have been pulled very quickly.

If Bethesda can make 1000 planets, surely the next Fallout can be the entire USA /s

Even then I still think Bethesda needs an extra studio, they should have at least 3 teams and have Fallout and Elder Scrolls have their own studios, the way they’re currently structured just doesn’t work, gotta have at least one game every 4 years.

Thinking of waiting for that to finish my play through of it but afraid it’ll be too close to Starfield’s release haha.

I hope not. Hate when open world games are too open, with nothing to do.

Much prefer smaller more dense open worlds, with more personalized feel. Dues ex mankind divided’ hub world is the best example. Not an open world obviously but so well made, so dense, filled with life. Never played an open world that was nearly as good as that. I think skyrims map size is perfect for open world games that don’t involve driving, or flying.

I’d much prefer a move in games away from open worlds and instead games with a few open hubs. Like Deus ex, and mass effect 2/3, kotor.

spiderman being above Zelda is more worrying. Good thing I don’t visit that site anymore.

Wouldn’t say Obsidian really has their hands full. Pentiment just released and some of the folks working that could go into pre production on a Fallout game, with it going into full production by the time TOW2 releases.

It’s a nice dream, but I’m not ready yet to start believing in it.

Witcher 3 did it well imo, you can find something interesting almost everywhere you go, Skyrim and Elden Ring as well. Fallout 4 gets a lot of crap but it’s also quite an interesting world to explore.

I’m pretty convinced it’s going to happen since Obsidian has talked about wanting to revisit Fallout multiple times over the last couple months. Jeff Grubb also said Obsidian was in talks to work one.

Getting back on that PD and Tomb Raider rumor…apparently this “insider” has been right about several Avengers related things in the past. If PD is indeed coming after TR we’re not gonna get it anytime soon. I don’t know when they plan to release Tomb Raider, but I doubt it’s this or next year.

So I wouldn’t get my hopes up on seeing PD this E3.

I do hope we see something new from Hellblade 2. Jez did call it optimistic that people expect the game to release this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have it at E3.

They also said that Tomb Raider had been in the works much longer than most people assumed, so who knows. And yeah, I wouldn’t expect PD. I kinda always assumed it was late 2024 at best anyway, unfortunately.

I think Hellblade 2 and Avowed are a given, both of them should hit within the 12 month window.

TR longer in the works than we assumed would be great, I love TR. Avowed and Hellblade 2 between June this year and next year would be awesome too, I’d love it.

I can see Perfect Dark being 2025. At least five years of full development plus when you factor in Covid and bring in Crystal Dynamics, it makes sense.

As for Tomb Raider, I loved the reboot with Rise being the best and my favorite. Would love to see a new Lara Croft isometric games. Osiris and Light were great.

I wonder what they are going to do with TR. It likely won’t continue where Shadow left off, so another reboot maybe? Also wonder if they will have Camilla again as the voice.

Probably a reboot which is fine. Just wish Lara gets her dual pistols early on in the game this time. Looking forward to it. Love Tomb Raider and been a fan of Crystal Dynamics since Slam N’ Jam 95 on 3DO.

Ya some do it better than others.

But I will always think the hub world design is peak.

Sorry if already posted here but this is interesting, guess whatever plans they had died very early, at this point I wonder if they will do the 10 year plan, I know they can do it by just supporting the game for 10 years pretty much while still making another one.

I understand, sometimes I get bored of big open worlds too and get fatigued but it’s usually Ubisoft games that do that to me, I’m fine with Bethesda games, Witcher and Elden Ring, Assassins Creed and Far Cry I have to take long breaks from :joy:
