In the past we’ve talked about this too and people then often say FH is great for solo play and online play too. And while this is true, FH doesn’t have to take into account a story, quests that are typical to a RPG, dialog systems and choice and consequence. I do think PG can make it work, a solo first experience in terms of everything and optional co-op, so if they must or are dead set on having co-op I hope it’s secondary.
But if PG gave me the choice I’d choose 100% singleplayer all the way, like Witcher 3, TES, etc. Matt Booty recently acknowledged it that fans want singleplayer blockbusters, Phil last year too, this is your chance of having such a thing. At the same time I would understand it so well that PG would want co-op functionality in there since they are so familiar with that by now.
Long story short, it’s whatever to me as long as the game is fantastic to play alone because a RPG for me is always a solo thing. So not “sure you can play this solo” like with Sea of Thieves, no, none of that. 100% a solo affair, but you can choose to have a partner along.
Truly hope we learn something soon about this game because man…it’s more than a year of silence now.
I’ll admit though, Xbox’s core franchises have managed to plaese single player, co-op, and multiplayer players so far. That happened because they are seperate modes for the most part, I’m talking about Halo, Gears and Forza. Although people did feel Halo 5’s campaign was better fit for for co-op. Still, Fable really should be single player and story oriented.
But who is saying it’s a “music” game it’s apparently within the Wu Tang Clan lore (whatever that exactly means I’m not super familiar with this stuff) and they are heavily inspired by real martial arts like Wu Tang obviously. There first game was a fighting game and not about music.
