I entirely agree. Which is why I would limit Starfield in the initial single showcase, while having additional Starfield teasers in other more variety game presentations mini-dives, before having the larger Starfield blow out at the end of the week. Use the Starfield pull to get more exposure for other games.
I don’t think Certain Affinity is known entirely for its strategy games since it’s helped out with the multiplayer on games such as Halo, Call Of Duty, Left For Dead, Doom, etc
I would be fine with a 90 minute presentation just as long as we also get a deep dive presentation especially for game like Starfield and Redfall.
two deep dives is already around 1hour. Nobody would make a show with two games consuming most of the time.
Halo Infinite is by far my favorite Halo campaign. The gameplay is fantastic.
The only way I see any sort of deep dive of any game that’s like 15+ minutes is at the end of the show, I can’t see them starting with a Starfield deep dive or any game and putting it in the middle is weird too. I don’t think this will be the only showings of stuff like Starfield so they don’t need to sell you the entire game in a 30minute deep dive at ‘E3’. I think we will see more streams for stuff like Redfall and Starfield closer to launch.
The E3 show will end with a 15-20minute Starfield reveal Imo and they’ll say something like tune in soon as we will share even more details over the coming months, then have a monthly 30-60 minute stream going over stuff.
It could be two 15-20 minute deep dives for Starfield and Redfall for a 30-40 minute presentation.
Redfall can get like 7 minutes with a deep dive in a different show focused on Redfall sometime before launch.
Starfield will take a lot of time of the show.
I mean have a 90 minute combined presentation. Then do an additional deep dive presentation for about 30-40 minutes maybe longer if Forza Motorsport and the Josh Sawyer project is this year as well.
Last year insiders were saying Xbox was holding off stuff to show on E3 this year, I’m expecting a big show with tons games this year, bigger than 90 minutes as well.
Anything that is bigger than 1.5 hour will become two shows.
They might do “two shows” with a short break between them.
The TGAs can do 4 hours of mostly nothing pretty fine, I’m sure Xbox can do a big show just fine.
I do curious how TGA reaches such viewership numbers to be honest.
No game needs more than 10 minutes, 15 tops, oof.
If they are as long as Fallout 4, for sure. And in that case a separate show would not be a bad thing. Redfall definitely needs its own deep dive, unless it doesn’t come out this year, I guess a real need for it isn’t there then and a trailer with gameplay would be enough. And in that case a dedicated stream later on would be fine.
This! People really want to see what they got coming, for several E3s on end we got to hear that things just weren’t ready yet, now let’s see what they got cooking.
As the say is show business
Always have them wanting more ![]()
Close the Xbox show with the Starfield equivalent of this trailer
Then let Todd do his 45-minute deep dive presentation during the Bethesda stream.
I think they should take advantage of the lack of other gaming presentations and hold their 1hr 40min presentation like normal. Go into like a 10 minute stunning presentation of Starfield and flash see more later this week and then have a separate 30 minute overview later that week.
do likebthey did last year.
showcase then a bts extended showcase few days later. so redfall/forza/starfield get 5 mins each with a big trailer/gameplay, and then deep dive is a few days later.
would set expectations
first showcase is just game trailer-game trailer-game trailer etc
second showcase is for the deep dives
