Hey man, I just saw this shit about passed it along.
For all we know it’s Hindle on the other side of that thing.
But if Microsoft only focused on the nearest releasing RPG for E3 would be an incredibly bone-headed discussion.
Starfield is great, but can’t be the sole focus of E3 in the RPG department.
He knew all the details about Star Wars Eclipse before TGA happened. That’s what “frightens” me. He does seem to know some shit.
If Avowed ends up being a no show this year it’ll just be extremely disappointing and another example why getting rumors and game leaks too early only harm things. If it’s a no show it’s clearly not going to be a Q1 or Q2 2023 release. Watch it then be holiday 2023 with Fable Holiday 2024 or so.
What also doesn’t help is studios saying stuff and then…not a thing.
I should not jump to conclusions, but I don’t like how this person is not just some nobody. Seemingly.
Please dont feed him lol
I did some digging and supposedly he’s proven reliable on rockstar, avalanche and obviously Quantic…
We’ll see anyway… E3 isn’t too far away.
A trailer not being shown is that big of a deal?
Well somebody could Superchat Grubb during his next Stream and ask.
Dude’s gotta have a feeling or an ear to ground about early E3 plans for Microsoft.
Exactly. Ok sure these games have not released yet but he knew about Eclipse before it was announced.
Jesus man, if that Bethesda acquisition had not happened and Starfield had been a deal for Sony…what on earth would their E3 this year have looked like? Unless Avowed CAN absolutely be shown but won’t because of…
Definitely bone headed and sadly not out of the realm of possibility at all. As much as I love Xbox they aren’t immune to making some stupid af decisions. Guess we’ll have to wait and see but I can’t deny it’s affecting my excitement already.
Game’s been MIA for 3 years despite lots of noise and reporting from other insiders and Jez.
It’s time to show it off. Not showing it off because “It’s Starfield’s turn” is bone-headed thinking.
Game isn’t even out this year, and it hasn’t been “MIA” because a new trailer hasn’t been shown.
And if it’s not shown this year it’s Fall 2023 at the earliest.
In the same time you have Windows Central saying Avowed could be aiming for late 2022 / early 2023 (iirc in their article about 2022).
Prog what year was this game announced and what year is it currently
I’m rounding up okay. MATH IS HARD.
Avowed was gonna be shown
SOON
SOON
SOOON!!!
Rounding from 16 months to 36 is hard to do
Yeah I’m bad at math.
Come on, it’s not that hard to at least understand people feeling very disappointed if this is true? 2020 had the CGI trailer, 2021 had nothing except claims by some sources that development was ahead of schedule, doing very well, some sources said it would be at E3…wasn’t. We got a tweet by Avellone that development was going super great, something along those lines. We chose to ignore it. We also got the details by Jez, which sounded promising.
We had Obsidian promising something for the fans and it would be soon. No show at GC, no show at TGA. Naturally many expect a update this year, new trailer or official details especially considering what Obsidian said themselves. And then comes along this tweet.
It’s not necessarily MIA, but an official update goes a long way, even if it’s not coming this year.
Whatever the case may be, I hope it’s all going well.
So, IF, IF, IF, IF, IF, IF this is true, E3 could be:
- As Dusk Falls
- Forza Motorsport
- Redfall (GamePlay)
- Starfield (Gameplay Deep Dive)
- AoE IV Console
- Project Midnight CGI announcement
Not terrible, bit not quite what I had imagined based on teases from Grubb about how E3 was gonna be this year.
