Xbox Game Studios |OT8| Leaving The Drought Behind And Heading For Starfield

yeah but this don’t change that things way going and how far in dev each game.

the only year i see big TWO RPGs is 2025 year when IOI game releases with TOW 2 after that we back to 1 big rpg a year with inxile 2026 game the cycle repeat. unless they buy another RPG Studio or fund another RPG Game things are not changing.

BIG RPGs takes long time to be made.

Perfect Dark isnt coming next year

Yeah… its clear that Avowed has been “in the works” since at least late 2018.

So you think Elder Scrolls is a 2027 game and Obsidians Avowed team or Playground Games Fable team won’t have another game in 2026 or 2027

I’m honestly sorry I shared anything at this point…

Just thought it was interesting to have somebody (with a track record) say the exact opposite of what others including Obsidian say.

I do wonder when Compulsion Games next IP is releasing is it a 2023 or 2024 title? Having Hellblade 2 and that game in 2023 would be a jolt for 2rd person action games on Xbox.

I work in marketing and sales, Starfield will be what MS focus on this year

Fable in 2024, how to do think they would pull out another game in span of two years let alone RPG Game ? unless they reuse assets and GO assassin’s creed way.

yes i predict TES Vi to be 2027 launch title, with panadmic hit the indiustry the dev of TES VI went to back seat, now all of Bethesda 4 teams focusing on delivering Starfield

2024

I see Avowed getting a gameplay trailer in June at the Xbox showcase with a March 2023 release date.

That is a good point. When was the last time Xbox showed gameplay of a game that far away? It wasn’t Halo or Gears, or FH. Halo was a few months before it’s planned release, Gears 5 a year and FH games all got their gameplay a few months before release as well. Them showing Hellblade 2 already was huge. So sometime 2023 should be a given, excluding any real bad setbacks which we shall hope won’t happen in the world.

2024/2025 the team pretty much started working on concepts in year pandemic started

Playground Games: Hey Phil, Fable is ready to launch late 2023.

Phil: Sorry guys, AVOWED is taking up all of our marketing, we have to delay you into 2024.

Imagine arguing Horizon and God of War can’t launch in the same year because they’re both third person
