Crackdown 3 let’s go!

Emphasis on right now. Their strategy shift won’t be sudden, it’ll be slow to minimize impact and help with customer acceptance. You already see half the folks on this forum that were up in arms in January are just focused on the games today. More and more people will either be okay with this (or even see benefit in it) as time goes on. Just like when they started putting everything on PC.

“Please, sir. May I have one of your game?”

“What about Concord?”

“What about Concord.”

How do you even port a delisted game or a soon to be delisted game.

Crackdown is not a big game but that would be wild if it was. I’d expect maybe Killer Instinct or Microsoft Flight Navigator.

I feel like the game that is coming next has to be something that would advertised the next installment exclusively on Xbox. I mean Hi-Fi was somewhat designed like that until it went on sale; Grounded has their TV series coming so more eyes on it; Sea of Thieves is too big, so expand more; Pentiment is probably same as Hi-Fi. Maybe Flight could work since not only it’s pretty popular but the sequel looks pretty ambitious than a simple 1.5 feel.

Time will tell.

I wouldnt be surprised if its FlightSim, HellBlade 2 or even Indy.

Honestly, fine with Hellblade 2 but not Indy, mostly cause its been talked to death already and was confirmed to launch as an exclusive title for Xbox.

Could be the classic PlayStation “this game is exclusive to Xbox for at least 6 months” type of notice at the end of the date trailer

Getting an existing Forza game onto any new platform may be nearly impossible because of Legal terms, specifically the license with the Automanufacturers Cars. This license might be specifically targetted for Xbox Console and PC Games space. It might not allow for other targets like Nintendo Switch or Sony PlayStation. They might need to renegotiate terms to expand out.

Keep in mind, the game is only set to announce, not release on that day.

Killer Instinct and MFS make sense yeah, especially in the case of KI if MS has any plans on making a sequel in the future putting the 1st game on PS5 and Switch 2 will be a smart move.

Since FH5 isnl likely not the game that will announced for PS next week, what do we think it is? Rationally I think it could be KI, as it would help it with the fg community.

Wildly, I think it should be Halo 5 MP as a f2p(for PC too), have a new dev studio take it over for 343, give a current gen update, add more maps and add more items to the game for the monitization system that’s already in place. While updating the current system to include a shop to trade for items. Of course this is all hopium from someone that’s still playing the game and knows nothing more will ever be done with it.

Agreed. For example, I purchased my Thrustmaster racing wheel for Xbox One back in the day because the decision was literally do I buy a wheel for GT Sport or do I buy a wheel for FM 5, 6, 7 and FH2,3,4. It was an obvious choice.

On the flip side, I purchased my fighting stick for PS4 because it really came down to Street Fighter V vs Killer Instinct. I also knew that more niche fighters were never going to skip PS4. To this day, I still buy fighters on PS5 because of this decision.

These decisions do have consequences.

Please no. Sony has Spider Man from Disney, let Xbox have exclusives themselves from Disney as well.

After reading i now get what you said, “6 months” meaning more than a year or three.

Yeah there’s consequences and i think the higher ups don’t see it or refuse to because of the amount of money they are making but then what happens to hardware? How to you make it attractive with zero exclusives? That screams to me that its nit worth investing within ecosystem anymore, if folks say game pass alone could are kidding themselves.

Like Satya, to me, has shown to be terrible when it comes to entertainment vision while in software and other venures he’s quite good.

It’s not about what’s great for hardware users, it’s that MS’s gaming division is much, much bigger than ever before, and that brings them a lot of costs.

And Xbox is selling less and less lately, it’s probably in it’s weakest spot ever at this point, selling under 2M consoles in the last 6 months IIRC, probably not enough to sustain the costs of having all these studios.

My bet is Flight Simulator, that would complete the famous discord rumour we saw back in January.

I think it’s a bit too soon for Hellblade 2, that Starfield will be announced after the expansion, most likely first half of 2025, and Indiana Jones would be very weird considering they announced it as exclusive just some months ago.

I think it would have a further negative impact on what’s left of the fgc on xbox. Nevermind there are some fighters that still wont ship on xbox despite the constant updates ( Grandblue and DNF Duel come to mind) but Marvel vs Capcom collection as of now will be skipping xbox!

Imagine on the cusp of this they come out with the first new major announcement on KI is not a teaser trailer for a sequel, but a PS5 trailer. It would pretty much solidify that Xbox is NOT the platform for fighters IMO.

Despite what some here will have you believe that collection will be huge and xbox missing out on it is a "massive L " as the kids say. Big games like this skipping the platform have a trickle down effect on smaller fighters people may want to play as well. We saw it happen with SF5 when it skipped XB1. Arguably the weakest of the modern SF games, it still kneecapped the platform when it came to getting fighting games. A far cry from the 360 which was the defacto platform for them.

Microsoft selling less consoles is on them. I don’t even think they’re putting out that many consoles. I hear this and just think they are knowingly selling less as the consoles are sold at a loss. They are more focused on getting Game Pass numbers up on PC.

If there is ever another KI game, I’d consider it being multi platform day 1 as a requirement.
