Previous showcases gave me unrealistic high expectations, so this one is kinda mid to me. But I fully expect they gonna have an amazing one next year.
Blood of Dawnwalker being 2026 and that korean game called Mudang were the surprises for me.
Clockwork looked really good, no date sadly but no hurries, let them cook.
Rest wasn’t that great and overall it was a bit more mid than usual, but yes you can’t have a show like 2024 one each year, whole summer game shows were a bit weak, VGA getting bigger and bigger each year doesn’t help either.
2026’s January and summer shows will be big again, not worried at all, and we’ll get 1-2 candies this VGA too

Showcase was decent B+/A-, nice variety, no cringe lines from the presenters, GP Day 1 galore.
And I love Devolver Digital style bits in TOW2 direct.

Obsidian not only carrying the xbox release in 2025 with three games..
They also covering up for Fable missing 2025 release date and so missing the direct by making this Direct showcase of there game.
Respect on another level.

My only disappointment was that Fable was a no show. I mean we did get very lengthy gameplay of Clockwork Revolution and it still doesn’t have a release window. But Fable which was supposed to drop this year before its delay is nowhere to be seen.
I’m sure there are reasons but yeah, bummer. Maybe GC, maybe TGA, more like dev direct early 2026 is my guess.
