For HFR, I played it in a weekend as part of my subscription. I enjoyed it. I am still subscribed. It is content for their service. Iâm in the ecosystem spending money, buying games and DLC. In my opinion, this is what GP releases are for and the success they are looking for.

If you guys ever want to experience Microsofts full gaming suite at itâs best, please I urge you guys to get a well suited PC and Steam Deck. I played Gears Tactics on my way to work this morning and it feels absolutely superb on the handheld, like it was made for the platform. In addition, with a gaming PC you can play some of the best of PlayStation.
My gaming experience has increased tremendously with the steam deck.

This is why journalist making these claims is dangerous because they just started a narrative that will be driven for the rest of the year. I think if you donât have a solid source or canât fully back up when called out for it then donât say it. This is negative word of mouth for the brand, and I am sure there will be articles made about these claims from Grubb that canât really be proven unless Microsoft shuts it down. However, it puts Microsoft in a bad spot because they would want them to correct any claims that are made

I already see sites reporting it as ânewsâ , the damage has been done. Fucking shame, Hi Fi Rush is an excellent game that many were calling a GOTY contender at launch and it gets thrown under the bus in one throwaway line in a podcast. SMH.

I doubt MS thinks every game added to Gamepass will equal a huge increase in subscribers, at least not something like HFR. For Starfield I could see an increase for a few months for sure though, but imo as long as your subscriber base stays at the minimum stable and keeps bringing in money, itâs a win and the games are doing their job.
Honestly MS really needs to go all out to make PC Gamepass successful, itâs the most logical step towards getting millions of new subscribers. And unfortunately I think that means asking the keys to the divine gates of Gaben as I doubt it will be doable through the Xbox app. Either MS buys Steam, or they make a deal!
As only a huge increase in subsribers would offset the money lost on sales on their titles if they expect the same kinds of revenues long term.
