Did anyone who has “credentials” say anything about another PS show today? Because this sounds like he’s just being petty to someone running on as much hope punk as I am.
I got to say, it’s a weird flex for Square to say “FF7R is in 2 discs!!”

Technically, a lot of games are in 2 discs, but many of which is via internet.

I know there are lots of big games out there, but who even notes how many discs something comes on? Like I edited above, it’s very… old.

Maybe Capcom showcase will give us a date.
If Xbox really wanted to be petty they could split up Starfield into 100 mb chunks & put it on like 800 discs. Of course that would be insanely cost prohibitive, but they could be like “See how good OUR game is? Can’t touch this…”
Todd: Starfield is so massive, we have to put it on 3 discs. It’s just work.

Looks like the green one should be available in a bit under an hour, but looking at their site, yeah prices are a tad nuts. I can kinda see the 40-55 price range for ace attorney, but some of the stuff is way over 200. sheesh. Glad I don’t normally go in for this stuff, I’d probably be told off quite quickly over the prices.

Now my curiosity is piqued , but I will see how long I can hold out before I look it up. My only fear would be looking to see the one game only run into a multigame leak lol…
The worst that can happen is if the leak was the final game and basically repeat the mistake as PS, where the fans didn’t go “Aw I want more” and went more of “What!? That’s it!? This showcase sucks!!”
The last two-disc game I bought was Halo 4.

For me it was longer ago, Lost Odyssey coming in with 4 discs.

I went to play Diablo after the server issue, I couldn’t start it as it needed an update. The update just sat there for what felt like ages, so I thought I would cancel it and try the update again. It, for some reason, decided to delete the whole damn game. FFS very frustrating, another two hours to download the full game ahead of me.
To be completely fair to Square here, I personally do have some strange nostalgic connection with games requiring multiple discs to finish. I felt an unmatched feeling of progress when you had to switch discs to advance, so I kind of miss it. This is just me being a weirdo though.
