XboxEra Community Hangout |OT10| Insert Catchy Quip Here

I’m with others on that I think nostalgia is boosting it for people. There were high effort remakes like SMRPG or Star Ocean 2 shown

I’m under 25 so when I see such games I’m like, “oh, that looks cool!” but when these people see those titles, nostalgia takes over the brain lol.

live!

Yes sir. Powerwash Simulator has been finished!

Have a few special jobs left, FF DLC and Tomb Raider DLC which is all free. Let’s goooooooo.

Addiction isn’t over just yet.

GOTY. I actually went back and did all the jobs again when they released the Tomb Raider DLC. I really hope they support this game for years to come.

You did it all again? Now that is dedication! Yeah I was surprised that the DLC is all free, I was prepared to shell out some cash.

So the Spongebob DLC will likely be free too I guess. Yeah man, it would be awesome if they collaborate with Xbox on a few jobs such as Starfield. Imagine cleaning out a hangar with a spacecraft in it, and you can enter it too and clean there. Forza Horizon seems like a no brainer too.

What other (not necessarily Xbox) franchises would be great too, you think?

Yeah, I needed a “chill out and listen to podcasts” type of game and decided to just play it all again.

I like your suggestions of Starfield and Forza. Throw Flight simulator in there as well. Honestly, any game would work, but I would love to see Gears. I want to power wash that giant vehicle from Gears 2.

Oh, also Transformers and G.I. Joe. Maybe Star Wars and and any Marvel properties like X-Men. So yeah, basically anything.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder looks like the game Nintendo have always threatened to make but never have - a 2d mario with some effort.

Enjoy the gen.

I am! No need for a mid-gen refresh.

I really wish people, like journalists, would actually talk to some developers about the actual dev process, we’re not even close to tapping these consoles given how little content has actually been built around the systems, as opposed to last gen.

All the people that are shocked and angry about this, I’m assuming they just arrived from the parallel universe where Spider-Man is multiplatform too.

Like it’s even the same parent company. How hypocritical can you be.

And Wolverine. :unamused:

This whole ordeal is really showing some prominent voices in the industry for what they are: fanboys. If you cheer on behavior A when Sony does it but condemns another company for doing the same, you’re a fanboy, it’s that simple and all following arguments should be disregarded.

FTC is acting a lot like that from a logical standpoint…

The response is going to be “Well it’s bad no matter who does it.”

And yet I have never once before this seen a Sony fan say that they wish Spider-Man and Wolverine were multiplatform so Marvel fans on Xbox could play them.

Quintessential “same energy” situation

Oh I completely agree… hell, we have examples of journalists literally doing this exact thing, down to the verbatim response, but then cheer on Sony any time the same is done (and yes, I have plenty of receipts).

Looking forward to the tweets from Ryan McCaffrey, et al., about how this is a sad day for gamers, and there should be no such thing as exclusives. People who had shit-all to say about Spider-Man, Final Fantasy, and whatever else.

Such a stupid question. By all accounts I’m aware of from a friend there, I would argue that the only reason it’s even launching this year is because they didn’t have to build for another code base.

Perhaps it would have come out, but it will be 2021 state.

Some truly cool info is coming out due to this case, haha.
