Man, IGN aren’t even trying to hide it anymore are they?
Do you think we will see a guide for cancelling PS Plus anytime soon?

Nice to see how much Xbox team gets involved to help other studios.
They must have done the same when PS plus went up in price…
Unless it’s contracts already signed ages ago, this doesn’t make sense after the recent Xbox/Square friendship, they just announced Mana
As for HotB, pretty certain they said Arkane was announcing D3 or Prey 2 at the TGA’s so I’m not sure how reliable they are
Why play Lego when you can play with limitless virtual Lego in Fortnite, Roblox or Minecraft
Kids these days are growing up with tablets and they offer so much that other plastic can’t compete
I’m in zero rush to play this so I’ll wait until it’s fully patched/definitive

“Blame the publisher, not the developer” is what I got out of this.
A lot of the appeal of Lego comes from the building, but it also comes from the minifigs. So something with actual minifigs in it like Lego Fortnite is going to be popular. Also kind of random and not sure if your article mentions it, but Lego has been the highest selling toy company the last few years, beating Mattel or Hasbro. This was a really smart mashup.
I’d actually love it if Xbox would release a game based on Lego Minecraft, since they already have Minecraft based Lego sets just take it full circle and add the build style and creativity to a Minecraft game. It seems less likely now that Fortnite is doing it though.
The fact that Guardians was a commercial miss is a travesty. I wonder how much of that has to do with them not getting the likenesses… I admit I’m shallow enough that that was a turnoff for me when I saw the first screens, but once you start playing it that takes a backseat very quickly. Such a fun experience.
GOTG was seriously underrated. I thought it was better than the movies even.
Probably a combination of a bunch of things. I think it’s unwise to bank on a movie to gauge an Ip’s popularity.
GOTG outside of the MCU is still fairly unpopular and doesn’t really move the needle. Combine that with the whole mess of The Avengers and you can see why the consumers were a bit luke warm on it in terms of hype.
Gotg was my goty 2021 and is an amazing game. I want a sequel.
I still think the game suffered the bad faith that Avengers left on them, especially when the presentation gave that similar aura and it’s under same publisher. Just reeks of bad news. Hell, even I fell for it until Game Pass.
Remnant 2 and Tomb Raider 2 are benefiting from Game Pass.
IGN is something else. Honestly, at this point MIcrosoft should blacklist their coverage because they don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt anymore.
