I feel the feedback in the alpha motivated them further.

I don’t think we need Jez to look at second half of 2024 for Towerborne, it was obvious the instant it wasn’t on DD lineup.

With Indiana Jones surprising everyone and while we await for release date, if it ends up coming this year, would this change your thought process on other games’ arrival time? Maybe Perfect Dark and Fable will release next year for instance.

I think Fable is a lock for no later than next year. Perfect Dark who knows, possibly. Crystal Dynamics are fantastic in general.

Still waiting for performance comparisons…

Specs wise it should blow it out of the water. Main issue is how are the drivers and what is the UI like.

I guess the “dream” never stops? I’ll believe it when they announce it, otherwise meh. So very, very over “FF7R for Xbox” news". Put up or shut up.

February is too bloated.

Yeah, the battery life is one of the biggest factors for me.

I want a solid 2-3 hour handheld gaming experience, if I have to drop the quality and resolution down to 720p to achieve that it will be worthless over a Steam deck (for me).

The low power consumption of the Steamdeck (with the new battery revision in the OLED model) is currently teasing me.

I imagine the discussions are like this:

MS: Can you port FF7R to Xbox?

SE: We barely ported it to PC and the contracts we signed

MS: So thats a …

SE: No.

I doubt they sold everlasting exclusive rights, it’s almost 4 years since original release. It was clearly the old management aligned with Sony interests, but that’s changed.

PS4 release: april 2020 PS5 release: june 2021 PC Epic release: december 2021 PC Steam release: june 2022

They milked money out of everyone they could (outside Steam I guess), imo they are waiting for a MS proposition (if it isn’t already happened). And I don’t get the concerns about part 2 on PS5: the game will already be out (29 feb) when they will announce a Xbox port (likely this summer with grand fanfare), also Rebirth clause expires only three months after (29 may). I think this year is the one for the announce, I imagine a play anywhere port with GP day one for 7 (I repeat: it’s an old game, you can’t convince people to give the big bucks), then next year 16 complete package (no GP) and maybe Rebirth. It’s in SE interest, the more they wait, the less people will be interested on Xbox.

Rocket League also launched direct to PS+ and was a huge success.

So flip a coin situation then. Funny, this is releasing with bunch of live service titles like Helldivers 2 and Suicide Squad. What a week.

Hoping Helldivers gets some more love this time. I don’t know if I like the switch to 3rd person, but the first game was fantastic and deserved more attention.

First, it has to hope it doesn’t receive Titanfall 2 treatment because seriously, the month is too bloated.

The right decision to make, only way the game has a chance
