From what I have seen of the game, it doesn’t look good to me and I hope there’s a reasom for it(lighting is still in the works? Video settings used by the peole playing the game?). But I also haven’t gone out of my way to shit talk about it like this game is responsible for some sin.

Bungie fans are generally unhappy with where Destiny 2 is, hate Bungie leadership, and are anxious about Sony killing Marathon and the studio.
Marathon oldheads are mad its live service.
Antiwoke people are always mad / grifting. (I am not making a political statement and dont want to debate politics).
Sony fans are mad about factions.
Some people are mad about the price for only 1 mode, 4 maps, 6 runners.
Some people think if they complain loudly enough, Sony will give Bungie more time.
I don’t think the reveal was supercompelling or well-done personally. But hope they crush it both for the devs and for the industry.

This guy sounds like a spoiled child, crying about some other kid getting the latest toy before him. How about showing some creativity and a hint of ambition in this creative industry you chose to work in?

Just personal preference in my case. I don’t want to play an extraction shooter and wish Bungie had developed something else. This may be the only game we get from them for years and years.

I’m actually in the same boat as you, game looks phenomenal! I think they perfectly nailed the art style. Like sure it looks different from the original games but it definitely needed a refresh anyway and I think the team did an amazing job on that front. Gameplay also looks good and the game will have tons of customization it seems and replayability. The sound seems good from the gameplay reveal and the music is banger; really hope they come out with a vinyl for it!
I barely buy games these days thanks to Gamepass but Marathon is definitely on my list. The amount of time I spend on it though will depend on how much my friend list is interested in the title but we’ll see!

Won’t be my jam, and that’s okay. Had it been like Commandos and Desperados it would have absolutely been for me.
I’m cautiously intrigued. Turn based tactics is not necessarily my thing, but I’ll at least give it a try. I like what they’re saying about story and building relationships between the party members, it sounds like they’re really emphasizing the RPG aspect.
