I do wonder why GameStop doesnât just go into the business of making physicals like limited run games, they could do it better and on a larger scope not to mention their distribution would be better.

I feel like any discussion of FF16âs sales is cooked before it begins. Fanboys have such a heavy emotional investment in seeing that game fail for some reason, now add in the Xbox factor and itâs just impossible for people to stop foaming at the mouth long enough to put two thoughts together.

Virtuous is over 4,000 people and mainly focused on doing movie special effects and other things. I know their HQ is in Singapore but the company started in China as well, which immediately means Microsoft would have a hard time investing in them if thereâs any connection there (US defense contracts)

I heard they just used the user review numbers on the Xbox store. In any case I checked today, and the game is on the top paid games on Xbox so this does seem to really have been based on user reviews, and nothing concrete especially considering the guy couldnât proof his methods. I know itâs not what they do now as for profitable I would imagine the way it is now they could be profitable. There are so many publishers out there that I think wouldnât mind leaving disc production and distribution to them. There are also a number of big titles that I reckon will have big physical turn outs. Limited Run games seem to be doing fine so much that they canât even meet the demand and can be selective of games they want. I just think something like this is a much better way of still being in the business.
