Call of the sea coming to playstation in May
I don’t know why but I hate timed exclusives more than full exclusives
Yea its a temporary band aid
With small devs like this working on one platform for launch is generally down to “we can only work on one version at a time, manpower wise” than it is “they gave us money to stay off other palces”.

I’m just guessing but with a game like Call of the Sea, I imagine the timed exclusivity has more to do with the size of the team than anything else. If ID@Xbox was providing additional support, they may have focused on Xbox and PC to start. Now certain though.

About Call of the Sea: yeah, it probably wasn’t a timed exclusivity deal. The Game Pass money probably helped on the development on the game, and because of that they focused on the Xbox version first.
A 5-month exclusivity deal with the first game of an indie studio would not make much sense.
People are sleeping on thise game. Every steamworld game has been top tier; gunk is like a returnal-level game of a great indie dev graduating to a new level.

I love the idea of other platforms getting games like Call of the Sea after GP or other form of exclusivity. Benefits gamers and indie devs. The up front funds help development and reduce risk.

Yea I don’t think they would but then again MLB is heavily promoting the Xbox version of a sony first party title

Argh. Cannot wait for E3. Everyone on twitter lists all the games PS5 is getting this year and I can’t help but to feel Xbox has no games.
less than 60 days until E3. be patient. 
Lol, the PS twitter has now resorted to adding all 3rd party timed exclusives and indies and even two MS games to those lists, because the Xbox exclusive list is just bigger even with just 1st party.

now that E3 is back and Xbox will be there too.
i think they want to come back with “we have more than 50 games in the show today”. so those games like Scorn, Chorus, The Ascent, Bright Memory etc. will be there.
i also hope that they will bring back big AAA from third parties. i think the Xbox Games Showcase was well below the last XboxE3 conferences. we’ll see

I think if RE8 ( big IF for now ) is coming to Game Pass, and if we follow what happened with Outriders, then MS should start teasing it on Friday, a bit like Outriders.
