SO then Microsoft must have cut this deal directly with MLB who are listed as the publisher and not with Sony itself.
I’m sure Sony was aware of the situation being the developers, but I wonder if our fears of “X got traded for this” like games and IPS were baseball players (intended in this situation) might be unfounded.
Seems like a lot of money changes hands and that’s probably it.

Finally managed to grab the Xbox Wireless Headset form the dashboard. Only had to pay a fiver after using MS rewards. Feels illegal

I’m not sure the publisher thing makes much of a difference at all. Doesn’t Minecraft have a different publisher listed on Playstation versus Minecraft on every other platform?

I don’t think it means anything. I think he’s just thinking about stuff, then later clarified that MLB is the publisher on Xbox so the deal probably came through MLB and Sony.
Just giant piles of cash involved most likely.
The game is actually kind of MTX heavy. Not NBA 2K bad, but it’s kind of MTX heavy.
