XboxEra Community Hangout |OT2| Cracking down on shitposting

By that definition everything is a new IP.

If someone joins a company to work on a new IP and they show up and are told that it is Star Wars, they are going to be pissed.

If they actually successfully release halo infinite… then yes.

They’ve got a lot to prove.

If anything SW related comes from MS, I think it will be to do with KOTOR.

So you think the rumoured kotor remake will be published by ms or at least exclusive to xbox and not multiplat?

Think so

Wasn’t that semi-confirmed to be Aspyr or whoever.

Yep. It’s all but confirmed at this point.

Yeah - aspyr making a remake is intriguing. Wonder how it will turn out.

Btw, isn’t one of the XGS/Beth making the New Republic game. Where did I see that now? Maybe we should ask Ed.

DXR Ray Tracing looks pretty wild on Metro. Would be amazing to see a BGS RPG with RT. Wonder how Metro will run on console.

I mentioned on the podcast that a High Republic game might be exclusive to Xbox

I also mentioned that Microsoft are actively looking at Lucasfilm Games IP

That is so cool

I think there’s a chance Microsoft could be publishing Aspyr’s Star Wars KOTOR (or High Republic?) game. While they were recently acquired by Embracer, the Star Wars project was in development before that. It was reported that the game they were working on had a budget of $70 million. I’m assuming they were already being funded by a major publisher.

Yea hmmm

We need an Xboxera forum thread that just compiles every Xboxera rumour mill scoop with an anchor video where shpeshal ed is speaking on that particular topic in the podcast.

Just referring to these other outside entities (even Mattyplays) who are often looking at second hand info or something that is leaked much later only to enter the zeitgeist is just silly. We lose the credit to Ed in such cases.

An insider score card would make for a fun thread

And I was dreaming of SW Galaxies returning…

Keep Calm Cerys, keep calm.

Looking forward to the KOTOR remake since I never played the original game or the sequel.

I can easily believe that a company like Activision would push a game out, knowing full well that it’s not ready but making sure the all important “recovery road map” is ready, instead of just delaying said game to give the devs more breathing space.

That’s the easiest thing in the whole world to believe based on a rumour.

Yep this could be the year for halo and battlefield but we know cod will still outsell both on brand name alone
